I really wish I could've seen this, but unfortunately it never toured near me.

I got to see it back in spring 2017 at Cleveland’s Conner Palace at Playhouse Square with Adam Pascal as Shakespeare. It’s a hoot.

it physically pains me to know that you have a screen recording of the show (that is five years old now) just... Dusting somewhere. I'd give an arm and an eye just to buy a copy. I've heard multiple times the reasoning behind not selling screen recordings of broadway plays (that they'd take away the live audience) ; but given the fact that I am not American, going to see the show in person was never an option. Oh well.

@@spongelover722 I still feel this in my bones but now with the pandemic who knows? Maybe they'll change their minds and let us buy a digital copy :,)

I don't get, the recordings take away the audience while the show is still running, but 6 years later? Why wouldn't they want to sell copies?
@GUIZZARD3 жыл бұрын
@@therhymenocerous3886 yeah, I personally don't agree with it but the way some people have explained it to me it's that by releasing footage of the original cast in streaming services, people would not only lose interest in watching the show live but on the newer cast members doing the tour (which lasted several years). Of course, it feels a little wrong when they _did_ sell a limited amount of recordings but the point stands in that they refuse to make it easily accessible because it’d result in theater loosing it's magic one way or another. It's unfortunate and I would love for it to be available for streaming as some other broadway shows are, especially since being from another country the dollars it would cost would be exorbitant translated to my coin, let alone mailing, but I don't think there's any way to convince them at this point.
