Dude, this is the best review I have ever seen. I have been professionally cooking for 20 years, and the robot coupe has stayed exactly the same the whole time, it is as close to perfect as you can get. You covered everything and anything I could have said... Price points, perks, durability, diversity of end products, barely needs service, never shows up hung over. 1 person can produce an almost unbelievable amount with this machine in 8 hours.

I am a single person. I purchased this food processor several months ago, and have no regrets. This machine works on even the smallest quantities, and still saves time. I have never had a food processor that is as easy to clean and keep looking new. I have never had a food processor that looks as attractive. And, I have never had a food processor that is actually FUN to use like this one! In fact, it is even more convenient than a 2 cup chef chopper. It saves me money in food costs, because it is such a pleasure to work with. I don't have to buy processed foods like pico de gallo at the local grocery store, because I get so much more pleasure out of just making it myself with the dicing attachment! Sticker shock? Of course, some think it is expensive. For what I get out of it, the price is actually very small. Remember this: You get what you pay for. If you have a tool you love, you will use it more often. This machine is worth every penny, even for a one-person household. My only regret is not purchasing a Robot Coupe R2 Dice Ultra 20 years prior!

@@EasyFreezerMeals Hi there, how's the Robot Coupe running?

Dude, me too. I just posted a comment. I make pico, a gallon at a time, for parties and stuff. It takes longer to clean the grid, than it does to make the pico itself. The machine is a beast, and looks pre-historic, which I love. It almost amuses me that my friends call it a "Robot Coupe", as in an android, driving a small car.

One of the clearest, most straight forward and succinct reviews of the robot coupe for consumers and professionals that is on KZbin. If there are any updates to this food processor, would be interested to see it as well as the functionalities of the the different blades. Thanks for the video.

@@EasyFreezerMeals Really? But which blade does it use to make butter. I am tired of the junk FP out there. I bought myself a Waring Stick blender. It is great. I am looking at getting the Robot Coupe. I don't need the constant chute. This thibg is a blender and a FP in one. Which model do you have again?

I had the privilege of using an R2 in mid early 80’s in a private country club. Astonishing results and speed. We actually has a couple “S” blades. One blade was for harden denser operation and the other for making delicate pates and other forcemeats. When you purchased an R2 back then they gave you a home version for free. Two years ago I bought an R2 on Craigslist for $250 with the featured attachments. This thing is a beast for our home gardening and canning. Love that it so indestructible.

I bought an R2 Dice, less than a year ago, as a home cook. Holy shit, this is almost too much food processor for me, but I love it. I use the dice blade to make massive amounts of pico de gallo. The funny thing is that it takes longer to clean the dicing blade than it does to make a gallon of pico. I really want to use the shredder for cheese, but how much shredded cheese does one guy really need? All-in-all, I'm very happy with my purchase, but have to wonder if perhaps I went a little too-big? Time will tell.

Can you give some insight into the longevity of the dicing grid and accompanying slicer blades? Are these able to sent out for sharpening or do they need to be replaced at certain intervals?
@EasyFreezerMeals
@EasyFreezerMeals 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Robert. It really all depends on how much it's used and what type of vegetables are diced in it. We use ours commercially (lots of #'s of onions, potatoes, bell peppers, tomatoes, carrots each week) our dicing blade wore out in 2 years. I probably should have changed it sooner but roughly 20-24 months. Unfortunately you can't get it sharpened (I tried). The only option was to buy a new one. The slicing blades I have are still going strong. I have the #2, #4, and #6 and they are all from the original purchase. That was about 5 years ago. Hope that helps.

@@EasyFreezerMeals Very helpful thank you! If they last that long in a commercial kitchen it's worth every penny to replace the dicing grid at two year intervals that will save untold thousands in vegetable prep labor costs.

@@waterluvr you could always get a small square fine grit file, use the pull stroke to hone the edge and then one or two cut strokes to get the bur off. It will take a while to do but if you can do it then it might be cheaper than the $100+ for the grating disc

You can make whipped cream. Make sure to put the bowl and the blade in the freezer. Maybe even put the cream in the bowl and freeze it for 20-30 min (depends on how much cream your whipping) then just pulse a few times and you should be pretty close. But like he said above if you go to far you will have butter

What is the difference between robot coupe and a blender? Don't they do the same thing?
@warpforge
@warpforge 3 жыл бұрын
This video shows a Robot Coupe R2 food processor, which has about the same batch/working bowl as larger home food processors (like a Cuisinart). The Robot Coupe food processors are also good at approximately the same things as home food processors. In other words, they do some of the same things as blenders but don't overlap too much. You wouldn't use this to run a smoothie shop, for example, but you could puree and blend some things with it for sure.
@GhostGrind

@@warpforge And the robot coupe is more expensive because it last longer (or so I've heard)?
@warpforge

That's pretty much it. Besides lasting longer, they're also designed for more continuous use (like in a restaurant).
@bolo2393
@bolo2393 2 жыл бұрын
@@warpforge this machine will do the same thing as most home blenders. As far as prosumer stuff goes: The ninja will get things smoother but not much. However the robot coupe will do so many more things than just blend stuff. It is the same difference as between a sled dog and a draft horse in a pulling contest.
