Happy to see you're going to cover this show, Dale. Model cars have always been a passion of mine alongside model railroading. I had hoped to attend the show, but my schedule wouldn't permit. Looking forward to future installments.

This is why I stopped building, I achieved my goals, ran out of colors, basically the hobby became a job ! However , now I enjoy watching what others are doing . I can no longer do this to level I wish for. I fear a lot of these super detail builders will experience the hobby burnout as I did ! Sure is fun watching your coverage of the different shows ! Thank you Sir! ✌️🫡🇺🇸

I was good at building model kits... but what you were showing was miles above what I did. The details were outstanding and would win awards at car shows if they were real cars. Sad to hear this was the last show. Sadly most young people don't know how to work with their hands building stuff. Being 66 years old I understand times change so I did what I could to pass on my enjoyment of different subjects to others.

Several of these are 100% scratch built! The “corvette” race car. White with American flag. 100% scratch. The yellow Ed Roth mysterion. All but the side walls on the rear tires. The blue Can Am. Mostly scratch.

@@ToyManTelevision oh even better! You know someone is deep into model building when they scratch build like that.

I learned Mark’s name from Scale Auto Magazine, and the GSLNL. That was over 30 years ago, and I’m 56. Time changes us…..

When you reach the skill level displayed here you can become obsessive. Detail, design, paint and display have to go beyond "over the top". I was fine with it all, but then I made the mistake of watchin a man build a 1/48 scale OV -10 Bronco, and could not believe the level of detail he achieved. The airframe number on the model was 155471, In the real world I had worked on that OV-10. 155471 was assigned to VAL-4/VS-41 in the Navy. He made one mistake. 155471 was painted green, he painted it gray. ( only US Air Force OV-10's were painted gray) That small error would have cost him winning a contest, I said that just to show how far model builders can go to achieve perfection. I'm expecting to see your garden railroad to get to that level, because you certainly can do it Great introduction. I'm going to enjoy all the follow up's. ;-)

Yes!! Much!! But we wanted to get something out ASAP but only had a few hours to edit. I’m thinking 3 shows. Or 2? About 20 min each.

Why is this the Last Show? Are all the old modelers dying off all at once, like a Mass Suicide?
@ToyManTelevision Жыл бұрын
Mark just can’t do it anymore. And doesn’t want to try handling it off so the end… sadly.

@@ToyManTelevision-Ah, that's too bad! Maybe someone can do old time trailers and other RV models to start a new show! For me, I'm too old and blind, but there's got to be someone out there who you may know, Dale and Karyn?

I remember the late 1960's, 7-11 stores had a yearly Model building contest, I remember entering that Red Baron car that I briefly seen in this video.
