We have millions in counterfeit money on Tuesday. Off topic for us but not boring. We are starting a new series of shows called “look what we found”. Just for fun. Then on to a museum of 50s Sy fi movies that also sells washers and dryers

Thank you Dale and Karyn. You guys just make our weekends that much special. We thoroughly enjoy cars of any kind, and this was a real treat. Thank you for taking the time to document all this beauty. But for you, half of us would never get to see this in our lifetime. Thank you so much, for all that you do.I'm sure Dave is looking down and smiling!😉 God Bless, and will get in touch on Tuesday, again! Stay blessed!

Yup. That’s the rule here. Either perfect restoration, which is almost all of them, or perfect original. They start all of them from time to time.

Watching your well done video of those incredibly manicured cars and all made me feel like I had eaten way too much dessert! And to think they are all in working order. I just live down the street from this museum and keep saying to myself that I'm going to get over there one of these days. One thing that I really want to see is not just the cars, those marbel pillars are so beautiful. To me they stand out more than the cars! Thanks again.

Really must see it. The museum is free. The Grand salon and music room cost a bit. But you have got to hear that organ!

Although this has nothing to do with the car collection, I thought your viewers might like an update about the Cog Railroad in Colorado. Three new diesel cog locomotives and nine new coaches have been ordered from their Swiss builder. This is enough for three, new, larger trains. They will replace some of the self-propelled rail cars, the oldest of which are being donated to local museums. (I happened to see unit #9, an older GE work train engine, on a flatbed truck headed out of town a couple of days ago.) A new cog snow plow is also on order. Demolition of the existing trackage is to begin this spring. Reopening the Cog RR is still expected some time in 2021. This info comes from local new sources.

Larry, now Greg, has the best collection of GT40s. The yellow one won Seabring in 68 as I recall. Driven by AJ Foyt. AND thats not his best one. He has the 72, the first GT 40 and the one that won La Mans in 67. The one that drew first blood and ate Fererri. AND Larry drove it on his track every week. Flat out too.

6 of those as I understand it. 3 Royal this one is in great shape. Easy restoration. But unlikely it seems. If a railroad with the right facilities bought it sure. But no one seems interested.

I had the great pleasure of visiting this facility nearing the end of the construction as a friend worked there for a time. My visits were confined to the musical instrument collection however as the grand salon had not been completed. Nice to see a few of the cars, Mr. Nethercut allways won if he entered a car at Pebble Beach. He was able to employ a full time staff to restore cars and instruments. Do you thing the cosmetics business is profitable?

Many Bugatti were sold as chassis only, the body maker was the customer choice. Because of that you can see in Mulhouse many Bugatti of the same type, but each a bit different (if not a lot different) from the others. No two Royale are alike.

Did you see the other 3 shows on Mullin collections and the first half of this one? These are just amazing cars!!!!!!!!! I never thought I would like French cars but I am hooked.
@pbyfr5 жыл бұрын
@@ToyManTelevision Yes, I have seen them all. From the video, I found both places more interesting than the Mulhouse museum, because the cars seem less packed together. Also, here it is mainly about Bugatti, sure a few Voisin and Hispano and more Mercedes are present too, but not all the nicer models. flic.kr/p/2aA7x3z flic.kr/s/aHsmtYWVCM

CP Royal Hudson 2839 ran for a short time in the Southern Railway steam program earning the name “beer can”. She ran for a short time, only to be replaced. She ran just 1 more time for the opening of the Blue Mountain and Reading railroad, only to be sold to her current owners where she sits in disrepair. Kind of sad really. No Royal Hudson’s currently run today.
@astromotive60475 жыл бұрын
Saying disrepair would be doing the musuem a great disservice my friend. Being a resident of the San Fernando Valley where the Nethercutt is located i've visited multiple times over the past few years. I can tell you that all 2839 really needs to be pristine again is just a new coat of paint. Mechanically, she is in incredibly good shape mainly thanks to the dry California Weather. They just don't have the income revenue to pour into CP 2839 since the admission is free, and if it wasn't for the Museum coming to the rescue and relocating her to California then she would've met the scrapper's torch back in Pennsylvania.
@ToyManTelevision5 жыл бұрын
It takes a lot and costs a fortune to keep any steam loco running. It would need to be taken to somewhere where it could be properly cared for. Government requires a rebuild every 15 years. New tubes and total inspection. Replacement of failed stays. Not to hard to do if you have a locomotive shop with overhead crane and all the tools needed. This would be a more or less "easy" rebuild if it were taken to one of the few steam locomotive shops in the world. But sitting here the best they can do is keep it safe, keep it painted. Someday?????
@jomama055 жыл бұрын
I would rather it be indoors, than left to the elements, California weather or not. The other Royal Hudson’s are preserved indoors, it’s a disservice to have this one look so awful.
