@@StephandPetei understand your disappointment with the place but its main attraction is that this is the world’s largest delta😂 so i get why you found it repetitive. Also, a tiger sighting is quite rare, they like to stay away from people😂 but the place is more for people who like forests because this is also the world’s largest mangrove forest. It’s also not safe to stay in the boats at night(tigers love to snack on humans)

very few foreginers visit Sunderbans. Good luck on your trip. It's a very rural and tribal area that's why people haven't interacted with foreigners or have seen them ever, even English movies haven't got to those parts till now, so, that's why people were getting a little bit excited to see you guys.

The Sundarbans is an enigma. It is the largest mangrove forest. Some British officer once said 'It is where fish climbs trees, tigers swim in the water, roots grow upwards and animals drink salty water.' There is a reason why the canopy walk is like that. There is a reason why boats do not venture into narrow creeks. It is because the bengal tiger, or the swamp tiger as they call it, prey on people on a regular basis here. I wish you had a naturalist to show you the wonders of nature over there. And yes, the picnickers really ruin the environment of a sanctuary. Love your vlogs. From Kolkata.
@StephandPeteАй бұрын
This is a great explanation. Much appreciated. And why I blame myself and not the environment/guide when some of the magic is perhaps lost on us. 😉
@mohanjaiswal792Ай бұрын
It is fine. With tourist boats, it is impossible to see the real beauty of this place. One need to go to a guided wildlife tour with good 3-4 days in hand, preferably in the low tide period. Even then, getting a glimpse of the swamp tiger is super rare. But the thrill in those kind of tours as they go towards core areas of the forest is just unmatched. I have done two tours like that and was able to see and photograph a tiger in the second time. It was a magical experience.
@anirockshady8120Ай бұрын
That's the best part of your vlogs! You see the real parts and also appreciate the raw beauty/feel that guests often skip through without diving deep. Just like at 8:12 you compared different parts of the world, for sure it is different and people may not like it BUT you also pointed out the positive side at 8:39 for someone who loves raw nature. Thanks for the visit. I really love how grounded the whole vibe is. Cheers! Let the adventure keep on coming! **Also I freaked out at 14:25 it was dangerous

The exposed anchors by the doorway and the stairs of these boats could be slippery. Specifically the chatty excitement he had explaining the amenities and not looking at the steps made my heart skip a beat. 🙏🏾 **It's more like at 14:30

Nice and relaxing watch. Thanks for sharing. 33 years, born and raised in Kolkata, havent been to the Sunderbans..don't know whether its because I think facilities are not good enough or what. From time to time, I wonder why most of the other national parks in the country have different tiers of accomodation but nothing a bit more upscale in the Sunderbans. Done responsibly, it can be great for the local economy. Anyway, nice to see that even the affordable offerings were decently clean and well kept (beds on the boat, hotel room).

So nice to see you’re exploring the Sundarbans. The experience you were expecting, with narrower rivers, could be possible if you book a private tour in smaller boats. The bigger ferry boats cannot go to the dense forest and rather moves in the wider river. You can book such small boat tours from Sonakhali or Jharkhali.

Unfortunately you Guys missed out "Aliya Ghost Lights", which is visible during Nights in this Tropical Delta Mangrove Forest, similar experience alike watching Northern Lights in Scandinavian Countries. Finally there is another such another such Huge Mangrove Forest River Basin Delta in Odisha State of India known as Bhitarkanika National Park, which is home to many Reptiles and Birds Species. If time permits, do visit that splendid biodiversity on the East Coast of India. Take Care. Keep Exploring India. Cheers😊

Hi, I would highly highly suggest you to make a visit to North Bengal Forest-Hill tracts, its a great place to be in. The aesthetics and the nature everything is just perfect! I have been seeing various travel vlogs, I would highly suggest you to contact with "Gorumara Nest Resort" especially with the owner of the Resort named Mr. Babu (people lovingly call him Bablu Da). The vast knowledge he has for that region is mindboggling, have seen him in many vlogs of different Travel Vlogger from Bengal. He knows the entire region from Siliguri, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Alipurduar, Coochbehar, Jalpaiguri, in and out to the core, coz he is an enthusiast too! The beauty of North Bengal is Mountains, Hills, pristine forest, good enough wild life, beautiful culture and great food Trust me, I am not some paid person or anything, but this man Bablu Da, explains the region like no one else does. He is a travel enthusiast too, maybe thats the reason behind. If possible, please visit North Bengal, it's very untouched

you are kinda right. these are not exactly luxarious tourity places. people tavel these places for outing and to experience new place, change of environment and stuff. 🙂 also they are not developing too much tourism infrastructure in these areas, because these are protected reserve forests, where they want to have minium effect on ecological footprint. developing too much infrastructure would have some impact actually. and those prison vibes are essential. without them, people become easy pray to crocodiles /tigers or even snakes. that place is very dangerous place to live or even survive without protections.
