@@vicmen216 her 2nd star power used to be base 10% rather than base 20%. Also her super recharge used to be 1/8th of her super rather than 1/4th so it was way harder to cycle her super

I remember how bad some of these were it was hilarious, but does anyone else think carl's current heat ejector gadget isnt too bad? you get 3000 damage total if the pickaxe and fire hits, and you get a little tiny bit of area denial too

It's pretty underrated. I've actually switched to Heat Ejector in PL when the enemy counter-picked with Fang and Gene. I got a decent amount of value than I would rather get if I used Flying Hook.

I kinda miss when gadgets were just niche, and fun, not that strong but just a cherry on top. Now some gadgets are the main focus of brawlers kits, although i do like the gameplay now more, because it adds another layer of skill/strategy. The simpler times were fun tho

What Brawl Stars were you playing? There's always been absurdly broken gadgets ever since they came out. Like Crow was still heavily gadget dependent even before the slow gadget came out because his shield gadget used to protect for 60%

One interesting thing pocos protective tunes, maxes gadget, and carls heat projectile gadget are all used this monthly finals.

@@SpenLC I see the usage of heat projectile because the carl was played against agros so if he flying hooks he does not get as much value. Also, the protective tune is against the crow to get rid of the slow. The max gadget is the only one I did not understand (Menmi played it against Zeta 0).

7:32 they first reworked it so that the gadget attack would deal the same damage as the normal attack against a full health brawler (which I believe was 34% of their max hp back then). So she would deal 34% of their max health no matter how much health they had when using the gadget. Then afterwards they reworked it to how it is now, just a flat +1000 dmg.

Griff's new gadget is rivaling some of these for being terrible. If you use all three gadgets in a match, you get the equivalent of one singular extra shot per match, on a brawler with crazy damage output and a fast enough reload that his DPS isn't a problem.

7:30 now? They reworked it again to only increase the damage of her shot by 1000. But 40% of Opponents max hp was the best thing for that gadget. 2 shot and gadget to kill any brawler in the game.

I find really good value with jacky's second gadget for countering stu's ad griff's wallbreaks as they have 3 uses like every gadget in the game, I use it if they use their gadgets to open the right side on split

I'm surprised that something like Bo's Tripwire or Piper's old Auto Aimer is not on there, especially about Piper's Auto Aimer, where all she did was fire 4 projectiles of 400 damage each

it was reworked twice lol. 1st they reworked it so the next shot did 37% of the enemy's maximum health and after they made it so it does 1k extra damage

I think Squeak’s first gadget is overshadowed by the slow gadget. It’s actually really useful at getting a stronger mine behind enemies at long range. Then you can throw regular mines in front of them to limit movement and guarantee a hit or two.

Yeah I lowkey want Supercell to nerf the Residue very hard. For me, Windup is so much more fun to use, but it's so much worse than Residue that I end up feeling like a clown if I don't take it. Like I want to have fun, but at the same time I don't want to be put at a disadvantage for doing so.

I remember predicting that collette was gonna be the worst brawler in the game on her release and what buffs she should receive to make her just ok and nobody believed me. And when she was released and she received the emergency buffs, I literally predicted all of her buffs. All. Min atk dmg buff, super charge rate buff and overall damage buff.

Its kinda sad that some of these gadgets are the newest ones in the game, Supercell tried to add second gadgets to some brawlers, but for most of them its just better to use ther og gadget. I really hope this isn't the case for Buzz and Griff

I think the best way to buff Max's gadget would be If Max dies after popping the gadget you would regain the amount of heath when you popped it. It's just like you can use the gadget run towards the enemy and not worry about dying cause you will teleport back to the spot with hp

I actually think Dyna and Shelley should have the worst two gadgets. On average, it was way easier for me to deal more damage with Colette's gadget than Shelley's original version. A lot of people didn't understand how to use it, and that made it one of the most confusing gadgets of all time, but it actually wasn't as bad as those other two. It is probably still in the bottom 5, but underrated.

That gadget is still really bad even after rework. Maybe a good (broken) gadget that would get Nita back into the meta would be a gadget that gives the bear a speed boost for a short amount of time. That gadget+hyper bear would be an easy kill

The reason max’ teleport is so bad is because this is not a teleport in fact. This is like a travel in time. To be more valuable, when max return to the activation point, she could cause an explosion with 1000 damage on both points. Radius should be similar to Leon’s lollipop gadget.

Carl's 1st gadget needs to be reworked, i don't use it anymore because i have his 2nd gadget which is by far more useful...heat ejector could be better with an increase in damage and time in which it stays on the ground

Probably right now it's one of the least toxic metas. Carl, bonnie and janet are really meta and none of them are extremely annoying (maybe janet and bonnie with their supers, but it's nowhere close to mr p or eve meta)

He's talking about the history of brawl stars, not right now. For example shelly's and darrl's gadget are also good right now, but before they were awful. And actually that change was quite recent, the first change they made was to make collet's next hit deal 35%(or something around that number) no matter how much hp the opponent has left

Absolutely no. That Collette gadget was very 'op' if your opponent used that basically it's an easy kill for you. So it was definitely useful for me when enemy Collette used that gadget when she's 100 hp it would deal a 'massive' 40 damage

The real best thing that came out of 2nd star powers is that it forced Supercell to see how bad many brawlers’ star powers were, but with gadgets they’re balancing the difference between gadgets for one brawler like once every 2 months
