I was at that game. Loudest game I was ever at, and I had season tickets for 21 years, starting in 1989. When Lawyer Milloy was introduced, I never heard his name over the PA. But then the Pats got it back by beating us 31-0 in the final game. I always thought that was a neat bookend.

Daniel Addison but it wasn’t an illegal formation then, they only changed the rule to adjust for defensive timing after that year and because of that play because the Ravens front office pissed and moaned about it so much. They had the correct number of eligible players and the correct number of players on the line. A position player (Shane Vareen) declared himself Ineligible to receive a pass, and opening up the other side of the formation

As a pats fan it reminds me of the good old days of the early 90s, and helps me appreciate the smack downs we can now place on people. Yes we are hated now but we used to be for the last 30 years prior, with the exception of 1976 when everyone wanted us to beat the raiders and we were jibbed by a bad call, the laughing stock of the league. NFL goes in cycles as back then Miami was the empire of evil, then the Steelers, then the cowboys, now us...... but funfact: We invented the game and had the first organized league in 1862 on Boston common. Years before canton. So you can say we were just biding our time. Also the Patriots were not the first NFL champions in New England. That title belongs to the Providence RI Steamrollers of 1932.
