@@FanficDayDreams No they didn't. KZbin removed dislikes. You can still dislike a video. But you can't see how many dislikes there are. There are some browser extensions and apps that will show you the amount of dislikes. But those aren't completely accurate and generally will not show the exact amount.

let's see, she's good at everything even though she's supposed to be an assassin not a consort, her trauma is superficial and has no consequences. The prince is generic with a daddy issue while the other guy is random goody two shoes with little chemistry. The world building is bland. Have you been living under the rocks?

@@shepherdlavellen3301 I can def see where ur coming from, but it's important to remember that all of that development didn't happen in one book. It unfolds over eight books, with each character’s journey given meaning and significance along the way. When you condense the entire series into a single sentence, it can definitely sound odd. However, once you've read the whole story and developed an attachment to each character, you start to see the depth and intricacies that truly enrich the narrative. It’s a layered story that reveals itself gradually, and that’s part of what makes it so compelling. If u haven't read the book, it would be hard to understand. But hey, to each their own 🤷‍♀

The plot and characters though suffer the same problem as any booktok romantasy hits: entitled protagonist, superficial romance, generic villains, shallow and unconvincing struggles, but hey, it's still a lot better than Fourth Wing

I think some people don't like this book because of the overhype.They get into this book knowing certain stuff that happens later in the series , so they don't enjoy this . I am on the third book now. so far loving this series. somethings were spoiled for me but still loving this ..

She makes books for people who blindly follow big numbers and think “wow a lot of people wasted their money here, that means it must be good.” Mass produced industrial slop for the over-consuming masses who believe the physical appearances of the MCs and the rushed generic romance of a story is more important than actual writing talent. The fast food of storytelling.

Same. It’s my favourite in the series. All of the later books are filled with so many characters. This one switched that up, giving us an intimate time with just a few. On top of this, the entire book was about slowburn character growth - which is basically what I eat up.

smut doesn’t automatically make a book good. her writing needs heavily edited & cut down (she does a lot of telling, rather than showing.) it’s very repetitive and formulaic. also it’s shitty that her books pretend to be “empowering” for women but her “strong” female characters still enter relationships with horrendously abusive men and then just brush it off like nothing was wrong (or bc they’re just horny.) i pretty much assume the people who love her books just don’t do a lot of reading and have low standards tbh. it kind of sucks that her and CoHo are the face of female writing rn. i want better for us…
