The worst books I read in 2023

I've never read a Ruth Ware book. I have One by One on my shelves so I guess I'll try that one at some point and see how I fare with it. Stay warm!

I feel the same way about Liane Moriarty. I read The Husband’s Secret in 2023 and I hated it. The characters all suck and I just didn’t care for any of them. I have two other titles on my bookshelf by Liane Moriarty (What Alice Forgot and Big Little Lies). I’m not sure if I want to read them because I’m anticipating the characters would be the same.

I actually liked Big Little Lies. I’ve decided her older books are better but her newer ones are not. However, they all have the same structure and icky characters!

I am questioning whether to read What Alice Forgot as well. I’m leaning towards no after this video.

I just read my first Ruth Ware (The Woman in Cabin 10) and also gave it 2 stars. I don’t know if her writing is for me.

I DNFed Wreck the Halls. I was willing to look past the names Beat and Melody, but it was so boring to me and not Christmasy at all!

It was so badly mismarketed. I should have DNF’d it. I own One by One by Ruth Ware so I’ll try that and then decide if she is for me
