As an adult Canadace had moved on but she sort of reverte$ to her old habits seeing her younger brothers travel in the future. Plus later on it shows she busts tries to bust her brothers because she feels she’s always in their shadow. By busting them she feels she can bring them down and accomplish something as well. Because without that she feels like she will amount to something. Plus there is other development of character along the way.

What’s interesting about PBS is even though they’ll never admit when they make them for obvious reasons, they LEARN from their mistakes. You can’t find a single younger sibling character on a new PBS Kids show who’s as bratty as DW (in fact, most of the time, the younger one’s the sweet one now). Likewise, Caillou-types are non-existent now and the adults are basically expected to be competent. Also, they do give Candace a movie later on that creates a very logical basis for Candice wanting to bust her brothers, she doesn’t think she’s special the way they are and in a desperate attempt to gain any attention from her parents, devotes her life’s work to trying to get her brothers punished. It’s twisted, but she does eventually figure it out by the finale and/or Disney+ movie.

Candace is a horrible characterin the serie,but in the movies is an amazing character, especially in the 2020 one,in that movie we understand why she is like that,she has a character develoment at the end of the film,and start understand that she is a jerk and she apology to them,for me she has a better charachter develoment than a big part of cartoon characters

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Elmyra Duff from Tiny Toons! I haven't watched much of the original show, but I do know that she constantly forced unwanted affection onto the main cast, as well all of her other pets! And in the one episdoe of the reboot she appeared in, she forced Babs (and the rest of the crew near the end of the episode) to stay in the studio and take photos. And after keeping her there for HOURS, she took the memory card (or something) out of the camera, which forced Babs to stay there for even longer! She also appeared in one episode of the original Animaniacs, but I don't know enough about that episode to say anything. -And we're just not gonna talk about Pinky, Elmyra, and The Brain. For Candace, she does have some redeeming qualities. In some Phineas and Ferb episodes, as well as the specials, she puts aside busting her brothers to help them out with whatever problem they might be facing. Heck, in Candace Against the Universe (The Disney+ special), even after all of the wacky inventions Phineas, Ferb, and Dr. Doofenshmirtz made, she doesn’t even say a WORD to her mom!

My guess on why Candace tries to get mom to see her bros doing insane stuff is that she cares for them and wants mom to stop that stuff. What would happen if any invention or something the boy’s make falls apart or something like that and they could get hurt or killed and mom or dad would need to know about how that happened? I am pretty sure Candace don’t want the bros to feel down and not have the ability to do these stuff anymore, but at the same time, she doesn’t want them doing things like I mentioned before could get them injured or even killed.

Here's my defense when it comes to Candace. You're right that she is a normal teenager and she should have better things to do besides just busting her brothers. But how can she possibly enjoy her teenage life if Phineas and Ferb are constantly being a nuisence for her. She's the oldest sister who is being put in charge of her 2 genius little brothers who just built random crazy shit in the backyard of the house. Now I get that Candace can come off as a bit of a Karen when it comes to busting them. But in reality all she's really trying to do is be a responsible older sister.
