SOME THINGS YOU GOT WRONG/COULD IMPROVE ON: 1. If you looked further into Nauru you would have seen the horrible standard of living there, mostly due to the Australian government sending refugees there who tried to get there by boat. Also something else he got wrong is that divorce is always good. No, it’s not. It may sound always good, but with the case of my parents, it was life changing in many bad ways. It was a horrible clusterfuck of “your mom this” and “your dad blah.” “Your mother wanted to see younger men when she was with me!” “Your father is a recovering alcoholic who drove with you in the car!” They still won’t shut the fuck up about it and it’s been about 7 years. My dad moved an hour away from where my mom lives so now I see my friends only half the time because scheduling is hard. My mom never met the right person. She had like 4 boyfriends after divorce but none of the relationships worked out. If my parents stayed together it wouldn’t be good either, but it would probably be better than my current situation. I’ll spare the rest of the details because I know no one wants to hear it but from my experience divorce is not just “oh look we’re not married anymore yay.”

@@AquaDavie I believe they would be fighting horribly whether still married or divorced. The problems in their relationship wouldn't magically disappear because they chose to stay 'together'. Distance usually numbs the pain; enduring one another in person and pretending they are ok would have made it worse. If they couldn't shield you from their bullshit, that just makes them bad parents.

@@trabladorr yeah but divorce isnt the only solution. People nowadays use divorce instead of working towards resolving their issues and that's no good. But yeah no divorce is no good either
