I ended up dismantling the LV multi-pochette and use the pouches separately. Its pouch sizes are very useful to put into bigger bags when travelling or gg for quick lunch or running errands.

I adore the Hermès Evelyne and I have two of them (PM and GM), however I am not a fan of the perforated H either haha..! I basically never wear the perforated H to the front - I always wear the pocket to the front (which is how it is designed to be worn actually), and when worn that way i think it's a super chic, wearable and low key luxurious bag :)

Agreed!! My issue has never been the shape of the bag but the perforated H, so wearing the pocket to the front makes way way more sense 🤍

@@JesuisLou right!! and the thing that sold me on the Evelyne (apart from wearing the pocket to the front), is that it was designed to carry horse grooming equipment, and since I’ve always been a horse girlie I thought it was an appropriate bag to add to my collection hahahah ✨

I don't think you're supposed to wear the H at the front. How do you find it from a security view point? The only thing that puts me off is the closure (or lack of).

@@danishpastry6137 exactlyyy, the perforated H was designed to be the back of the Evelyne bag. :) I’ve never had an issue with the (lack of) closing on the Evelyne - you do have the snap closure, and the bag is quite deep so there’s never been a situation where I’m worried for my items falling out of the bag. I do however keep a little dustbag in the Evelyne to protect it from wear and tear on the interior and to have as a hold all for my items - and if I walk through a crowded area then I close up both the dustbag in the Evelyne as well as the snap closure on the actual bag, for my own peace of mind and a bit of added security. I love the silhouette of the Evelyne, but the perforation is a deal breaker for me. If it's worn to the front, people can potentially see items in your bag. If it's worn to the back, what is its point? Yes, Hermes has equestrian history, but literally no one is using this $$$ bag to carry horse equipment that needs ventilation. I just don't get it, and for that much money, it has to make sense to me. I have a Coach Chaise bag with a similar silhouette and it includes a handy exterior slip pocket for a phone. It's not as elite but it is completely functional.

I bought the bag anyway because I love everything else about that Alma. LV, please hear us and cancel that friggin strap!

It’s interesting - I wear my enormous Evelyne (40) but with the H side facing my body. I don’t like the H either. But I love the leather and am less afraid to travel with it than with my Bs. Agree about the trends - too many these days.

I agree with so much ! The neverfull Bb is so wrong ! What I did with my Rafia bag was I purchased it from a local boutique that bought handmade items, and it is one of my most complemented bags and cost me 50 bucks:-) one of the most interesting things you said is that we have been asking for certain things and why they don’t make them is a mystery😂 the multi pochette never made sense to me - it’s like a hot mess.

The Evelyne is so very casual it doesn't make sense to me to spend luxury house money on a knock-around bag. There are many ways to get the same look from contemporary designers without paying Hermes money.

I think the evelyn is one of my favorite bags! It’s so versatile and mom friendly. I have two boys and it’s a great bag to wear on the soccer field or taking them to the park. I personally disagree with that statement. It’s an incredible bag.

I have the multi pochette in black empreinte. It doesn’t come with the coin purse/cloth strap but comes with a semi adjustable leather strap and a chain. I love it! It’s very practical. I do take off the metal chain on average and only use that on its own. I do highly recommend! The monogram is not my preference.

The Evelyne is just soooo practical and perfectly strikes the balance between casual and classy. If it wasn’t for that horrid perforated H I would consider it pretty perfect. I always wear it with the other side on the front.

I did think that small LV Never Full should be renaimed Always Full! Totally agree on the Multi Pochette, although I do like a guitar strap generally, just not with things hanging off it. As for the Hermes Evelyn, its one of the few bags I'd consider from Hermes, and I suppose it's because it's fairly casual (I have two Mulberry Antonys, one small and one standard size, and the Evelyn is similar), I also love its a little slouchy - I'm not so keen on structured bags. I also agree about straw/ raffia bags. I think the designer versions are so expensive for something that has the potential to fall apart, and there are a lot of affordable stylish options. Personally I'd opt for something from Dragon Diffusion instead (more sturdy, and I wouldn't be so worried about a freak rain storm).

I don't use my Multi Pochette all at once bec I agree it's too busy. But I like small bags and I have 2 in that😂. The guitar strap was surprisingly comfortable and I end up loving it. Funny,bec I saw an older lady(over her 60s for sure) in a mall here with her dog and she had the complete set of multi-pochette on and she looks soo badass. There are people that can pull it off obviously..

I never considered the Evelyn until I became a mom lol. It’s a functional piece that I don’t have to worry about wearing. I still haven’t invested in it but for the first time thinking it or the Chanel WOC needs to be added. The Hermes Evelyn is the best bag produced by the designer for capacity to fit most items, ease of access, and the perforated 'H' is unique with the thick adjustable strap. In comparison, the Kelly 25 is too small with its rigid leather, and the Kelly Pochette fits a credit card at best.

💯 agree with raffia bags. There’s no way those are going to be lifelong-lasting bags. Some are really cute (like Dior’s offerings), but there’s no way I’d invest $1000s in a bag that won’t last me my whole life. Designer bags are WAY too expensive nowadays. Oh gosh I love my 2 Evelyne to bit! 😂 It’s a very casual bag that is just super comfortable. I love the Picotin too but, the no strap, just makes the bag totally different. I agree on the designer bags in rafla, it’s a no for me. LV and their useless coin pockets. No!!! The CF I know it’s too pricey but if something happens to mine, I’ll run to buy an other one. I know I will always want that bag in my collection.

I Love Valentino bags. The brand make very interesting styles in bags and shoes and they are very unique. I don't know why people are still into the brown LV bags that are so boring no style. LV is good on suitcase and travel bags and clothing in my opinion. I own 2 Alma, mm size for travel and pm for daily office and errands shopping. They are not meant to an elegant night out for a date. Gucci styles are a bit more interesting and changing.

YSL needs to step up their game. Quality has gone downhill. I recently had to replace the same bag 3 times. For different flaws. Unacceptable, YSL is too high standard to be this low. I think the problem is these beautiful houses that built their reputations on hand making and choosing best quality, sold their brands to corporations that just want to make money and cut costs when it comes to quality.
