Love this attraction the detail is amazing. It is incredible how much it has changed over its life time. Caught the Fire Works 🎆from a boat with Lisa B. ❤The CM stops the boat where ever you are at when the Fire Works start, so you can catch the whole show. If you have not done it put it on your DIsneyland Bucket List it is a lot of Pixie Dust ✨ #1313

Lol! Yrs ago we got on just before fireworks, which was amazing, but also feeling so sorry for the boat ahead of us stuck in Monstro’s mouth the whole time. I sure hope they don’t do that to anyone any more ;)

This was my Mom’s favorite Disneyland attraction. She LOVED the attention to detail and as great as it was in the daylight she insisted we ride it at night when all the lights were lit, making it extra magical.

Look at at what is happening to Epcot today? They have ruined its future vision in my opinion. Symmetry is gone. It bulges in weird places. Sight lines no longer matter. Nor is Epcot a place for IP. If you do add IP, it needs to be done with kid gloves. As to not disturb the Epcot vision. Since you are going soon Brickey, I would love to hear your take on that. Cosmic rewind is an atrocity of epic proportions. The ride is awesome, that’s not the issue.

@@HeyBrickey Love you, love your channel, but as a former old school Cast Member (NO/BC Attractions, and was around for the Fantasyland remodel you speak of), I must hard disagree. Use your imagination… Early Storybook was just an annex of The Huntington (Gardens), complete with the little signs of the foliage’s Latin names 😆. But seriously, yes, it must have been horrific. But not as bad as The Motor Boat Cruise, (which I’m sure you’re much too young to remember), which was bad from 1957 to 1991 when they added the Gummi Bears characters (wut 😳), which made it exponentially worse. That lasted a hot minute and it finally got put out of its misery in ‘93. It’s astounding that the lagoon is still there considering it’s a decent chunk of real estate that could be used for something else, as long as that something could be built around the Monorail track.

This just makes me wish Disneyland had a model railroad, similar to the one over in the Germany pavilion at EPCOT. If you've never heard of it, there's a HUGE model railroad exhibit in Hamburg. Something like that, with Disney's attention to detail, and based on Disney's properties, would be cool to look at it.
@jonahlevy674
@jonahlevy674 Жыл бұрын
I like that idea, but i think the way Walt saw it, Disneyland entire is itself the largest model railroad in the world (when it was built). Walt took his model railway obsession to bigger and bigger scales, until he finally opened the park to satisfy his dreams. The Disneyland Railroad circles a fantastical model city. Pretty cool to view Disneyland through this lens!

Hey Brickey, you say the Storybook Land structures were built 1/25th scale. Then, you reference 1 inch = 1 foot. That would be 1/12th scale, or, roughly, twice the size of 1/25th.
