THE WORST DUCATI 916 EVER!
This has to be the 916 from hell because I have never seen such sn iconic bike in this condition.
This Ducati 916 will ride again after I restore it back to its original condition.

Great project. All the usual suspects but also a couple of strange ones (like the LED lights in the clock surround). I was on the fence subscribing to yet another bike channel, but after noticing your ZX Spectrum +2 and the Robocop stuff in the corner, I just had to 😁 I bought a cheap 748 last year for kicks, and although it's giving me a few problems, they are pretty easy bikes to work on, as I'm sure you know. Also brilliant bikes to ride on the track, not so much on the road with the insane traffic and crap road surfaces if you're in your 50's...

Haha nicely spotted the retro 80s stuff it's mostly all my from my childhood.... It has many senna parts including the eprom chip so I think it is a biposto with senna parts

I have the same aprilia RSV 1000R mine is a 2007 not factory model, its in my account cover photo its parked in my kitchen during the winter months I keep it in my shed during the summer months. but the Stator is shot on it, I will replace it with the rectifier and the battery in the spring. it has such a solid engine though.

I have a 02 RSVR it's all standard with 10k miles on it never had a problem with it and the electrics are all original It starts and runs fine ... 🙂 great bike I love it

I think that thing on the clocks is one of the rev indicators to change gear, maybe, at a preset rev amount? Looking forward to this project, really enjoyed the VTR (currently helping a friend do the same with his VTR)

Ah brilliant yes that must be what it's for a rev indicator... I will be removing it.... And I hope my videos help with the VTR... Mine was. Very faulty 😬

Gotta go Standard I think… underneath the paint the bike seems largely original and not a parts bin special so original red would look good and provide best re sale value… good luck!

Hi mate, I’ve currently got a 748 but owned a 916 Strada and 748 SPS before. I still have a genuine Biposto seat unit in red for a 916 in bloody great condition, original paint/decals if you’re interested in buying it? I’m near Selby, N.Yorks

Oh yessss actually I painted my 1998 748 in the matrix colours and fitted 998 fairings when the film came out..... I picked up my cousin from the cinema on it after she went to watch the movie... And people just crowded it 👌🎥 was a great moment 🙏... But I have decided to make this standard red..... Although maybe buy a spare tank and fairings wheels etc for the matrix look 🤔

I will be watching this to :) I have a 996s to restore but mine is in better condition.. but still much work to do.. But i dont want to resell it... i love this bike just by it looking and its sound... i payed 5000€ and it have 30.000km on it.. I wish u good look and a long breath! :)

The light could be an after market shift light, someone has added. I fitted a similar thing to my daughter's drag bike. See if the module has a wire that goes to the HT leads or coil. That could possibly be a Ducati Senna. The fact it has termis and carbon bits too, especially the carbon airbox. I believe the last version was black

@@PXCBIKES True and obviously wouldn't have the biposto seat unit either. It does seem a weird mix of parts. The carbon air box is the interesting part, as they were only standard on specials and aren't really a part that you would normally upgrade. Whatever it is, it's a great starting point, for an iconic project bike 👍🏼

If you look in the tank you can see a ring of red and yellow, which means it's probably one of those bikes that was repainted in the factory before being shipped. So it unlikely to have been a Senna model at birth.

The 999 is a “Triple nine” and yes, the 916 is a 9-1-6 not a 9-16! 😂
