Fun fact: I actually collected all the Animal Crossing amiibo because I thought that they'd do something in New Horizons with how much they dropped the ball with amiibo Festival. Turns out, no. They're still extremely underutilized.

They're only needed for two things: 1. Summoning specific villagers so that you can curate your village, which means you'll use them once. 2. Using them in Harv's photo booth, where you're otherwise limited in who can be included in your photos (just your villagers, not even the shop owners or admins), and you need them every time, but also no one uses it that much in the first place.

Wii Music actually lets you get rid of the "stupid egg people" and lets you pick and play every instrument yourself. you can even change which Mii you use for each part. wild that the game has such long tutorials and still somehow didn't communicate this feature properly

At least for my personal history, the reveal of Wii Music marks the official end of the 'old'/classical era of gaming. I think the board game section just needs more to it, if you could pull some mario party type bullshit on other players and the game was a lot harder to gain points I feel like it would have been actually fun, the only reason I played the board game part was to unlock desert island escape which in my opinion should have just been expanded upon and made the main mode cause it is infinitely better than the actual board game

I was playing the game with my sister, and one of those unlucky event spaces that was near the beach made me lose all my bells, literally, the event was basically "oh no, you tripped and all your bells floated away!" which also made me lose like, half my happy points. The game does have some strategy, like using luck to your favor and stuff like that, but it needs way more of that stuff to be interesting.

Chibi Robo Park Patrol on DS is worth checking out. It's NOTHING like the first game but it's super enjoyable if you like light management games with some sim stuff. I liked it a lot. Also the Japan only sequel is good, there's a translation patch and it plays a lot like the first game, shame we never got it here.

I recently revisited the original Mario Party on the N64 with my partner, and ngl it just put everything about Amiibo Festival in perspective. Mario Party is chaotic, the minigames are exciting, you have to plan which route you take and sabotage other players, and Amiibo Festival is just… tap and hope you get points. And no, I don’t think the argument of Amiibo Festival being for kids is valid; kids deserve media with substance!

Hi, a genuine Zelda CDi and Hotel Mario fan here. Part of it has to do with the ironic reason that the cutscenes are very much an iconic part of my childhood, but another part of it is that there is a genuine (if small) fandom for these games, including speedrunners and a guy how made a remake of the games that fixed a lot of the issues that the original had. Furthermore, the music for those games are pretty great. The tunes might not be particularly fitting for a Mario or Zelda game, but are pretty neat nonetheless.

Plus, due to the fact that both games were rushed out, yet they are both functionally playable, they provide a decent challenge to the speedrunners of the community. In the Zelda CDi's case, the games' difficult platforming makes for a unique challenge, while Hotel Mario's spike in difficulty in the final levels mean that there is no room for error if you want to achieve a world record. If you want to see a speedrun of the games, there is no one better than _Grumpmeister_ for that. He knows them inside and out, and implements all the tricks in the book to get the best gaming experience out them.

I don't know why, but I liked Chibi-Robo photo finder. It's probably because I never played any other games in that franchise. The usage of AR was kind of fun. It was just a good mindless way to pass the time, mostly. I got through a lot of the game at work while sitting in a spotlight booth waiting to do something. The strange thing about the Nostaljunk mechanic is that today, when I boot up the game, the items in the museum actually became nostalgic for me. There is an old T-shirt that I took a picture of to fulfill one of the requirements that fell apart long ago, but it's immortalized in this game. It's not a good game. I don't recommend this to really anybody. There are a lot of better games out there. But there are some charming, quirky parts that stuck with me. So, you know, there's that.

I feel like if Wii Music was $20 dollars and had more Nintendo music and more creativity it would be a classic. Personally I don’t think it’s really that bad compared to the others because you get to remix old songs and use any instruments you want so it’s kinda creative.

I know everyone dislikes Wii Music but I at least think the Tutes have nice character designs, weird species name aside. I love how dorky they look, and that stupid little laugh animation they do where their mouths shake around on their jaw hinges Especially the one that's dressed like Ed from Ed Edd n' Eddy. Since you did like Chibi-Robo, you might actually enjoy Clean Sweep a lot too. It's a direct sequel to the first game, and it's got a charming little story. Definitely give it a shot, other Cheebo fans
