I'm gonna have to test that, I learned with Jubei the game has a FORM of Crossup protection where if you're still in blocktstun and get crossed up it won't count but I don't know how else that'd work. (I've also learned as Amane that if a stylish player runs out of barrier, they don't take bonus damage lol.)

My brother bought this game when it came out, claiming it was the best fighting game created, then played it exactly once. That left me playing single-player alone, and Arakune was the only fun thing I found in that.

I once had a friend when blaz first came out who played arakune and I used rachel. He often argued with me that rachel was the easiest character to win with because she was top tier and I told him lets switch and I will just mash with arakune and he kinda knew how to use rachel. I beat him like 10-0 and he disconnected and unfriended me, real life. We had played against each other in several games too and I kinda viewed him as a real friend.... guess not.

The crossup at 3:29 is also extra gross because of the guard crush bug. You not only have to get the side right, you also need to barrier block it, but in this game if you switch block while pressing barrier, you get a B attack and get counterhit instead. You need to execute very, very carefully to block what are already supremely nasty mixups lol

The OG Arakune from Blazblue was disgustingly overpowered. He didn't have to fill a bar in Calamity Trigger, he just had to hit you *once.* He is incredibly oppressive and requires a time investment to learn that doesn't carry over into any other character.

I'm a blazblue enjoyer, I play casually with my friend. Being able to curse from any combo is not as easy as it seems, and Arakune is one of the most technical character I play. I barely succeed at cursing my opponent when I play Arakune. I'm not hating him, he's one of the "wtf is he doing" kind of character, among with Faust in Guilty Gear. Please, be nice with Arakune :)

i like em as a concept really unique. Always liked the out of place characters. In gameplay.. honestly i think he should have floating and grab moves. In the VA stuff he doesnt even have bugs But... Roy means swarm. (Lotte Roy Carmine is his name) The closest is Roy the human hearing buzzing. His whole point is he eats people so grabs and maybe some kind of bleed effect maybe?

Okay I have one more question regarding Central Fiction & Rev. 2? Are these games balanced? Not perfectly balanced, but in a way that if someone were good with one character, would that player be able to beat another similarly skilled player with his/her own character ???
