FYI, the piglins were attacking you because you didn't have any gold armour on. Also, that first piglin that through the portal became peaceful because he turned into a zombie piglin and they lose agro when they convert.

To keep the hoglins away you can place down warped fungus mushrooms(the blue mushrooms in the nether). You can also put it on a stick and use them to ride striders which can run across lava

when your bed glitched after you tried to place it, it shouldn’t actually be gone from your inventory, you should be able to just try to place it somewhere else and it will technically still be in your hand. that’s just a uh ‘fun minecraft glitch’. it normally happens if you try to place a block and just before it places, an entity walks over the block. it places for a second then disappears from your hand and from the ground. it’s normally still there, just invisible.

Absolutely legit strats so Piglins don't hate you: wear gold armor, don't mine gold, don't open chests, or anything that functions as a chest. The Hoglins, the bigger pigs, avoid blue fungi, nether portals, and respawn anchors. And you can use a fence and lead on them since they're technically farm animals.
