Those cats are in agony. The way they’re pacing like that in the crates shows the tiny space is harming their brains. They need to get the kitties out and burn that house down because it will never be suitable for humans, let alone a premie newborn. If that baby comes home with any kind of equipment, as many premies do, they probably won’t even be allowed to live in a clean house with cats. Even if the baby was born two months early, what happened to the seven prior months?? Clearly no real attempts were made to create or find safe housing for the baby and that is absolute negligence.

oh yeah! my cat is a rescue on a similar situation; although she wasn't in a cage, she lived with an elderly women who hoarded cats. she was still a kitten when we got her but she was heavily traumatized. she spent like a month upstairs, only knowing that she still was there because she ate the food we gave her. 6 years later, she is the best cat I could ever have! she still has some issues, specially with new people and people walking besides her (she will run off). she also has a eye completely blind and she doesn't have her 4 front teeth. rescues are a whole different experience from "normal" adopting
@zxyatiywariii82 жыл бұрын
One dog we adopted only weighed 7.5 pounds, and normal for her size and breed is 14 pounds! But we were able to help her get over the trauma of her bad home, and got her to 14 pounds, and although it all takes time, she blossomed into a very happy and healthy dog.

But I can't stay there long for the smell and abundance of dog hair everywhere. They had a dog that they kept outside all year long as it didn't get along with the dogs inside or some bullshit like that. And we live in Canada so you can imagine the cold winters. Thank God, someone called the SPCA or police on that one and the dog has been removed from the property. I cannot understand how people can treat their animals this way. It's infuriating. And in their home, unhealthy. My daughter used to go stay there frequently and would often come home covered in bites. She also stayed at her grandfather's home so we didn't want to assume. But the rest of us have flea & bedbug treated our homes several times over and I'm 100% sure it's coming from that place. She visits now but doesn't stay long. @@peggypeggy4137 probably not. It is the pacing that give it away. My ex’s family’s house was the most disgusting house I’ve ever been in. Hoarders too. They had 5 cats that were able to be free but had the 2 big dogs in the back in the space the size of a bathtub, and another one inside always looked up in one of those cages. I would always try to help, ask questions cause I’d be fed up, every time I cleaned it would just end up the same, I can’t really comprehend at all how people can live like that. I could feel the difference of not being in that “home”

If the cats are your family why are they in tiny ass cages all hours of the day?????
@kuzcospoisonthepoisonforku26073 жыл бұрын
Obviously that is animal abuse, but also, if you truly cared about your pets, you would want them to have the best quality of life. That sure as hell isn’t it.

The issue I have with this show is that it attempts to remedy a decades-long problem in one day. This causes maximum anxiety and stress, which makes good television but is exploitative

I can NEVER help clean those houses. I would rescue the animals and just burn the houses down. Especially the house with poop-covered floors.

normally you prepare months in advance for a safe environment and room for the baby. This is shocking.

If you truly love cats (or any animal) you wouldn’t be keeping them locked up, you would do the right thing and put them first instead of being selfish, (I can get it can be hard but still) any animal deserves to be happy! And have a life of love (I love animals)

Broke my heart to see that sweet lady and little girl living downstairs, trying to keep their place nice, not knowing about the hell-hole upstairs from them that was sending vermin to torment them.

Those poor cats. Imagine having to live your life stuck in a cage all alone and without people around you. This is just cruelty. I hope they are living a good life right now. No animal deserves to live like that.

"I thought when they said they couldn't clean the upstairs, that was totally ridiculous." Said the person casually living in filth. It's one thing to have this disease but another to have an attitude with the very people trying to help you.

Cats are not meant to live in cages. This is unnecessarily cruel. It probably stems from the owner's fear of abandonment, but no other being should have to suffer because of your inability to cope with separation. I can only imagine the smell. I lived with a landlord who had thirteen Pomeranian in his kitchen, living in two huge cages on top of each other. They were not separated by sex, so puppies happened. Some of them developed poorly due to uncontrolled inbreeding. That kitchen reeked of a smell I cannot describe, but I'm pretty sure lingers in that person's household. Poor kitties

The cat guy. Well known here in Cincinnati. I just don't understand how the hell he kept them in cages all the time. Fucking cruel. Spca should have been called sooner. I had to stop 16 seconds in. I ve seen before and was in tears the whole time. And I work in rescue. Fucking horrible should have been charged. Cats walking,standing, laying in own filth. Yeah they happy pacing back in forth meowing like crazy for attention to get the fck out.
