I lived in MEMPHIS , TN for seventeen years . I love the people and spirit of the LORD is there. Problem is the city and state government see these areas going down, but the Where are they? No jobs, no money equal poverty. So in a few more years when property values are so low the people in Collierville and other prominent areas will come back buy it up, fix it up and the elders who hung on all these years will not be about to afford their own neighborhoods. Wake up Memphis... you have the power to control your own destiny. Demand what is yours the 400 years ends this year. I love you Memphis!!!!!!!

Yes, but wouldn't Charlie just be endlessly 'profiled' driving around slowly in a van in wealthy neighborhoods?
@CleanWithConfidence6 жыл бұрын
Just the same manner as when he is driving slowly through the hoods. The only problem I think Charlie would encounter is alot of wealthy neighborhoods are gated, so he would need a code to get through. Also some of the most exclusive wealthy neighborhoods are private altogether. But he shouldn't let that deter him because as I always say, where there is a will there is a way. I hope he makes it happen....for the views of course lol.

LIAH Referring to what you say happened to you as an "issue" tells me that you are more interesting in wallowing in it than in resolving it and moving on from it. Oh, well, it's your "issue" and your choice so if owning it is what makes you feel better so be it.

Something a majority of ghettos share throughout America... When there are owned houses that cost less than the vehicles parked at that house. If only more people knew how to educate themselves and spend their money. No problem though, make poor decisions so that someone else can profit from you.

95% are rented. Most of them lean. Many fires each year due to poor insulation and massive space heaters and faulty wiring.

If you keep the grass cut and the trash off the streets. Paint the houses that are not made with bricks then it will look much better.

Stop blaming landlords. People with any self respect and pride take care of their surroundings, without a babysitter.

I am currently living very close to the hoods (between North Memphis and North of Midtown). It is indeed very sketchy. But its alright to drive around. Also, there are few safe streets to walk around. Gotta be careful though. Tbh, the whole Memphis is a rundown city. Hopefully, it picks up because its got its history and beautiful old buildings. Good Luck Memphis.
