After buying one rough shape hpi savage and finding many rough modifications and enough dirt to grow plants in can it get any worse? In This video I start the teardown. What more will I find wrong? The tmaxx wire harness and hump pack fits great in the savage and has a spot to rig a charge port

Good to know I have a Protek battery that fits pretty well probably going to go that route.

I've got the same RD logics pipe on my Savage 25. It was on it when I bought it a really long time ago. Can't say if it's any better than another one performance wise, but it looks sick!

@@rynks_rc yup. Those always seem to be the weakest link on any nitro now that I think back about it. I bought an XTM X-Factor back when they came out, like 2003, had a rear exhaust with dual tips, looked cool for about a day before they both snapped off lol After that it was nothing but problems getting that silicon sleeve to keep the fuel pressure. Anyhoo, in the 15 + years I've had this Savage with this pipe, it's never given me an issue.

That's a savage x first gen model I can tell there no x on the side of the plates and it has the purple base borders😉

Ditch the 8 shocks and buy a take off set of the gt6 shocks 1000x better. I use 50wt in all my trucks except the lst

Cheapest I found those shocks for was about $15 a pair. Not sure I want to pay that for another pair of plastic shocks. Any recommendations on an aluminum set?

Nice after market parts ..cant wait to see what u do with it ..i like the 8 shock set up ..although i run the big bores ..i like running different shocks at the same time really depends on what u like

I would like to replace the shocks with something better. Any recommendations. I can upgrade to the xl4.6 or 5.9 shocks but swapping plastic for plastic don’t make much sense
