I would love a “one brand” rundown, especially of mainstream drugstore brands (Maybelline, L’Oreal, Revlon, etc.) The pandemic (and working from home for 22 months!) has totally changed my relationship with makeup - if I can’t grab it easily from CVS or Target, I’m not interested (and yes, I know Ulta is in Target now, but you know what I mean 😝).

That is an absolute YES from getting full brand run downs. Especially for brands that large ranges are highly accessible like the ones you've suggested because I think most of us buy these mainstream brands. Would love you to try to do a 'full face' on the brands in the same video too. It would make a very good series. And the kicker...at the end of it - give away the make up from that brand to a viewer. Yes, I would use make up you've touched - its not that gross and I've touched worse. lol.

Just watch out for the green washing in “clean” beauty/skincare products. A lot of what’s labeled as “toxic” is not actually toxic. There are also no official industry standards or oversight with “clean” beauty. There are a lot of excellent products in the clean beauty realm, though.

Yeah, it should be “low irritant” or “gentle” or even more along the lines of reef friendly ILO clean beauty ploy.

Omorovicza is quite simple to pronounce, the cz is just a ts sound like in 'cats'. But it's actually an exploitative business owned by not hungarians, that overcharges insanely for miniscule traces of thermal water in their products. It's a huge scam, and by purchasing you aren't even supporting a Hungarian-owned business. I would recommend a million other brands over this one.

Honestly, going down the rabbit hole of skincare and makeup ingredients is definitely not fun, but it's changed my skin for the better in a way I never thought possible! It's a lot of work at first but once you get good enough you can read the back of a skincare product and actually determine if it'll work (for you or in general) or not.

Tati, try the black lash glue from Duo, it is amazing BUT you have to let it get tacky for at least 4 or 5 minutes! I know that’s a good bit of time when we’re used to waiting 30 seconds and popping it on but seriously apply the black lash glue and set a timer for 5 minutes and you just pop them on without them sliding around. It’s the black Duo glue in the squeeze tube. Your lashes will not move if you use it and let it set long enough! 💕

The JLO highlighter is a beautiful subtle glow from within highlighter to pop on just the tips of ur cheekbones when u just need a little something. I recommend trying it not on ur whole face! Additionally the maybeline tinted moisturizer can be beautiful when u prep correctly! Try some super hydrating/ an oil under it and the finish will blow ur mind!! Love you Tati 😘

A lot of us love “dislike videos” because they come across as a little more authentic than some others-simply because at the end of the day, social media influencers are often advertisers, and are experts at selling a product. All the “I love this this and this” videos are hard to discern because sometimes it just feels like the person likes and sells everything. These kinds of videos are more critical and point out what to look for in purchasing products. I would love a video set up talking about disliked products in comparison to ones that are enjoyed and why and how.

Tan Luxe “The Gradual” is the best self tanner I have found. Absolutely love it! Never streaks, doesn’t rub off on my clothes, smell isn’t terrible, and it applies easily. Also I think it builds up fairly quickly (despite the name) while giving a nice color.

I was so sad when the regular Shape Tape was a big failure on me but just love the creamy version. I agree that the Valentino packaging is the absolute worse! I mean what were they thinking with all the cheap red plastic on such a luxury brand? I hope you had a very merry Christmas!

Chanel could get away with an 800+ dollars absolutely horrible "it's not an advent calendar, it's a collector's idom", but they sold it in the advent time, so I think people counted it as an advent calendar. It contained cheap stickers and stuff, so compared to that shitshow this Valentino powder is not so bad. 😅 It sort of concerning how luxury brands can get away with cheap stuff just because they have their name on it.

Regarding the shift to cleaner products… if you’re still on a fertility journey, this is a must. I did this myself before IVF 6 years ago. I use some non-clean products but keep them to a bare minimum. Read the book It Starts With The Egg and it will confirm how important it is!💕

I find worst makeup videos way more helpful than best make-up!! I already know what brands/formulas/products work for me. There's a ton of things where I don't even need to read a review because I can trust that the product will be good (eg: Lancome mascaras, Loreal base products) so having that extra guidance as to what NOTS good is super helpful

Vita Liberata Invisi Foaming Tan Water is a great self-tanner. It's clear so can wear clothes as soon as it dries, color is beautiful, NO smell and lasts for 7-10 days. Would love to see what you think, Tati!

Whenever I search for items for myself, family or friends I always ask myself "what does tati think?" because 9 times out of 10, your recommendations work for me (and so I pass them along to others too). There were tons of products this year that launched, and without your feedback on some of them, I had a hard time committing. I think negative, as well as positive reviews are always helpful. The market is FILLED with tons of makeup and beauty products. If someone doesn't keep them in check, companies would get away with robbing us blind ( coughs, valentino). So thank you soooo much for all you do, all you try, because it helps me avoid products that I could potentially waste money on!

“Cleaner” beauty brands to try: Athr Beauty, kosas, tok beauty, zoja beauty, Prisma palette, puzzle makeup, ilia (their lip glossy balm is lovely), inner beauty cosmetics, PYT beauty. These are all ones I’ve tried and have loved multiple products from each. I try to use only brands like this for some reasons you shared. For me it’s not about villainizing ingredients, but finding simpler ingredient lists that don’t include those that are either questionable or I’ve found I’m sensitive to.
