This map is so strange on conquest small. Both teams are given just a transport helicopter as their air asset. But then theres an MAA spawn at C for some reason to counteract the singular transport helicopter. Wtf.

It's funny how polarizing this map is. It used to be my favorite map in BF4 until I began to notice many of the flaws that are pointed out here. Still enjoy it a lot, as I do with most large vehicle-heavy maps, but I can definitely see now why it rubs so many players the wrong way

One of the great things about Battlefield is that all maps CAN be subjective. Everyone is totally allowed to like any map in the game, even ones that are largely disliked or have obvious problems. You can still love playing a bad map. Those are not mutually exclusive. Whiteout is terrible, and I love playing on it.

Wow, you mentioning the mech on this map and BF2142 really makes me wish for a very futuristic Battlefield game somewhere along the lines of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Black Ops 3, or Advanced Warfare.

Watched all of the episodes you’ve done so far. Hardline has s few questionable maps in its repertoire like The Block and Hollywood Heights (although the latter tended to always have a population) that if there was an actual playerbase for the game you could cover (or if you had old footage) BF1 at least could be covered. I like how everyone seemed to forget about Monte Grappa being absolutely awful in operations because it’d turn into a meat grinder very quickly. Conquest also tended to chokepoint armored vehicles heavily iirc but it’s been so long since I’ve played BF1 I couldn’t tell you if that was true or even a bad thing.

There are way worse maps in BF1 than Grappa, such as all the desert maps (Suez, Fao Fortress and Sinai, wich is the least offender) Grappa actually is a very fun map if you fight on top of the mountain, in the B and D flags, but the C flag is a meat grinder for vehicles and infantry, because its a very small tunnel with small passages on the sides that become a CQC hell I never played Grappa on Operations, but I imagine it's bad

Giants of Karelia is a terrible map lol. It's the same shitty battlefield 4 map dominated by vehicles and DMRs lol. Battlefield is about the diversity of gameplay, this map pisses on that standard.

Bombers are not OP, very depending on the map. Fighters can easily shoot them down, except of fjell where is almost impossible to stop farmers. Problem is that bf109g6 is best fighter in the game and germans have 5 at start. So americans will take 2 aa tanks, put them at spawn or F hill, then flying is not fun as it's hard to spot aa tanks but also aa tanks are not caping flags.. such a weird map

I actually think its a decently balanced enjoyable map. But terrain is terrible, yea and I hate the A flag. I agree that Dragon Pass is horrendous though

It's decent map and well balanced imo. It's shame all the healthy 64 player servers on console are running dawnbreaker, locker, shanghai and golmud. Out of those i only enjoy golmud for it's superior vehicle-infantry balance and open terrain

The terriain is a problem on this map, no one can argue about that, but I had some great memories here. I particularly love playing as an infantry at C and F. C point has a complex level design that I really love. There are so many places to hide, and playing as an aggressive recon is a lot of fun. I do not rate this as a bad map at all, although I understand why someone might dislike it. I had a lot of fun on this map as chopper pilot, and also as a tanker.
