The worst SA mission is Photo Opportunity, bar none. A long-ass drive in the worst-handling car in the game, and 30 seconds of using a camera (a gimmick just like the extinguisher). If you flip (and you will flip), you are stuck in the middle of nowhere. If you don't flip and finish the mission - you are still stuck in the middle of nowhere. Boring, annoying, long, offers literally nothing interesting gameplay-wise.

Kinda surprised about the Burning Desire pick. Sure it's by no means the best mission, navigating through the house isn't very fun, but I never had any issues with the first part of the mission. I think having to set the house on fire is a pretty unique and cool objective. For me the worst in SA were: - Photo Opportunity (Pretty much just a LONG-ass drive where you're forced to use a car that is very prone to flipping) - 555 We Tip (Boring as hell, extremely annoying if you damage the car and have to restart) - Robbing Uncle Sam (Long and boring, using the forklift is a hassle) - Freefall (Worst one for me. Fun fact, Photo Opportunity was a much bigger mission where CJ and Ceasar fly a heli over the diner further east on the highway. In fact, to this day if you fly a heli over Ceasar's car before you pick him up while miles in the air, you can see a giant red corona surrounding him showing you where to land. But that's why it seems like CJ and Ceasar are yelling the in cutscene, cus the mission was completely reworked into a boring cutscene only mission.

For GTA IV I'd throw in Pegorino's Pride. There's the lengthy driving sections at the start and end, where you can't take any other car. And for first-time players it's not made very clear that blowing up the Pavanos' car prematurely will destroy Jimmy's tribute and fail the mission, which is made more brutal by the lack of checkpoints. Actions Speak Louder Than Words also earns a mention for its long, boring tailing section where you drive up the whole length of the island. At least Pegorino's Pride has dialogue to spice up its monotonous parts.
@Walkerman6069 ай бұрын
Pegorino's Pride gets a pass because the dialogue on the drive when Pegorino absolutely lays into Pete and Marco verbally is absolutely hilarious. I don't actually mind Actions Speak Louder Than Words, but do get the point, because as much as IV is my favourite (narrowly ahead of Vice City,) if it has one fault, it's there's too many tailing missions. They aren't hard, but they do drag.

Heavily disagree with your take on Burning Desire Sure the premise was a bit weird with CJ being selective on just saving Denise (What about the other innocent people in the apartment? or heck maybe they had other girls aside from Denise there too) But the gameplay isn't that bad, it's just a mission to reintroduce the molotov and also introduce the fire extinguisher, I never find it hard to throw the molotov through the windows and I can always kill any Vagos trying to stop me So really, I feel like you're just having a skill issue moment there, the mission is far from being the worst

Also the biggest issue for this is Saint Marks. Once you're off of Portland the mafia hates you, and in GTA 3 gangs that hate you attack you on sight, the Mafia is especially bad since they carry shotguns which are so OP in GTA 3 they can blow a car up in 2 hits. if you play on pc. i can give three reasons as to why it's so bad. 1- Playing at a high framerate (it can make the physics engine go crazy and the handling of most vehicles feel too light or too bouncy. Note that the game was designed to run at 30fps). 2- Not having fusionfix installed with its option to remove a famous bug for bikes in GTA IV where the back end swerves and does a complete 180 everytime you make a turn. 3- Playing with WASD instead of an analog stick (Again GTA IV was designed for analog controls, it is actually why many pc players complain about the handling which simply isnt tailored for a keyboard. Pressing D is like pushing your stick to the far right, and A to the far left. There is no in between, thus making many vehicles feel terrible to handle, especially SUVs and Motorbikes.)

I think that all of these missions are possible to pas on first try regardless of difficulty . You just need to come with a good strategy, which is usually classical moving and shooting. The RC flying missions aren’t that bad just require patience but yeah they’re not interesting. I think Grand Theft Aero, Light My Pyre, The Portland Chainsaw Masquerade and Burning Desire are all great, interesting missions. Burning Desire is the first mission for Tenpenny’s unit. TPCM consists of killing the only tangible LCS antagonist. GTA is a turning point and has many characters involved. N.O.E is pretty cool too. Light My Pyre can be a pain but do your best to shoot the cartel’s cars while riding alongside them preferably with the bike. As for it being very hard I think it’s the way it should be. Armando is Vic’s most powerful enemy, and the brothers destroyed his bearer bonds so of course he’d attack at full force. I think that Armando is the VC saga’s most powerful antagonist and I find killing him quite satisfying, especially with the heavy machine gun, but Louise dying makes you angry and sad so it’s impactful to say the least.

For GTA IV there is one thing that is missing, on this GTA’s final mission where you are required to spam the run button to climb up on a helicopter, it is tied to FPS making it impossible to complete if you are running the game higher than 50 fps due to console limitations at the time, on PC this can kind of be worked around on older versions of windows, however, windows 10 and up won’t allow you to manually change the frames through task manager anymore so you need to download software in order to do the mission either a frame rate limiter or macro, on new gen consoles however frames cannot be manipulated at all making it virtually impossible unless you have insane mashing as they never changed the code… 😂

Another awful thing about GTA 3 paramedic is that you have to do it as early as possible in the story. If you don't, you have all the rival gangs shooting at you, which makes not blowing up the ambulance pretty much impossible (without resorting to glitches or cheats). Also, for GTA SA, I would choose Photo Opportunity as the worst mission. You have to drive from San Fierro to Badlands to Angel Pine, and then all the way back to SF in order to continue the main story. And if you fail because as a first timer you don't know who you have to take pictures of (or miss the face shot that's required to pass the mission) then you either have to reload a save and drive that whole way again, or you have to drive all the way back to SF to restart the mission. Awful mission design, and while it's important story wise, it's super boring. Snail Trail is almost as bad and even more boring (mission wise and story wise) but at least you can skip the drive if you're fast enough to catch the train.

For me: GTA 3: Expresso 2 Go and S.A.M Vice City: Death Row, The Driver, Copland and the RC plane mission for Auntie Poulet. San Andreas: All of Zeros Missions, N.O.E, Photo Opportunity, Cop Wheels. Liberty City Stories: Love on the rocks, The Shoreside Redemption, The Sicilian Gambit, for a final mission, this was kinda lame. Vice City Stories: Jive Drive, Boomshine Blowout, High Wire, The Exchange, Light My Pyre GTA 4: I actually didn't find any mission in this game or the DLCs to be terrible. GTA 5: Scouting the Port and Did someone say Yoga immediately comes to mind.

Counter-argument FOR the ambulance mission: all odd-jobs in GTA's show the escalating difficulty of the game's missions in general. Starting with Taxi, which is the easiest (could start it, deliver one passenger and get another taxi to start again). Then Noodle delivery, which does not have as many levels, but requires to finish them all in one go. Then Fire Truck, which requires to watch out for the (biggest?) health pool of the service vehicle, as it cannot be repaired. Previous last to hardest is Ambulance, which not only requires you to (by now) know the map, but also watching out for your service vehicle's health, AND also know most (if not all) bribe pick-up locations. The hardest is definitally Vigilante, as it adds the issue of havig stocked up on Uzi or Rifle ammunition to effectively finish all 12 missions (yes: you CAN simply switch into another cop car, unlike with ambulance). All that prepares you for the escalating difficulty of the story missions, imo.

I'm shocked Unfriendly Competition wasn't on this list as that one was so bad it actually forced me to use cheats to beat it, like I seriously don't get how you're supposed to survive being shot from all sides in the swimming pool with almost no cover without using cheats, and even with cheats it was still a pain cause after the pool ambush you have to chase after two more drug dealers on ATVs which don't exactly handle well with the games controls. Speaking of which White Lies is also a huge pain because it forces you to drive the Hovercraft which has to have hands down the absolute WORST controls of ANY vehicle in the entire GTA series, it's way too easy for it to go wildly out of control and you've got a strict time limit to pickup all of the drugs and it goes on for way too long, i'll even take Light My Pyre over that one as at least interesting stuff actually happens there but White Lies is just irritating and not remotely fun.

Escuela Of The Streets didn't make the GTA IV list? I'd replace Dust Off with it. You have to follow a slowly driving car on a route that doesn't make any sense while listening to Manny.

I respect the effort put into this video. I personally would have left side missions that aren’t mandatory for story completion on a separate list but all the missions you discussed were solid nominees nonetheless. A nominee for me in Vice City would have definitely been The Driver. The rubber banding was ridiculous. No matter how good you drive, Hilary King is always outmatching you as it is heavily scripted. His vehicle takes no damage so you can’t play dirty because doing so only damages your own vehicle. This one may have regrettably been tougher for me than other people but maybe I just sucked. In my defense I was probably 11 or 12 when I played it.

Funny thing about San Andreas and wrong side of the tracks is I’m pretty sure in my first run through I beat it on my first try. Then I saw online it was supposed to be really hard so I started a new game and could *not* beat it for an inordinate amount of tries. Even though I was much better. For me personally, the mandatory flight missions were the worst as I could not beat them and needed someone else to do so for me. Maybe it was the PS2 controllers, but I was stuck!

I actually played GTA VC Stories on the PSP back in the day, and that final mission was easier than a year or 2 later when I played it on the re-release for PS2. Rockstar really took their time back then to taylor make something perfect for whatever gaming system they would develop for, I miss that about the company 😔

uh... where is "Escort Service" from 3? that shit was really annoying with how bad the ai in 3 is, i remember after the long ass time it took to escort the truck through the underground tunnels of LC all the way too Shoreside, the damn ai just bugged out and turned too early from where the parking lot was and would ram into the wall... this happened 5 TIMES that i had to restart before it finally worked, The bad ai, the damage meter and the Columbians just further add to the frustration of that one. And escort missions in the old GTA games were just awful in general.

I think it goes without saying that GTA 3 is an especially frustrating game overall, considering that you can’t go anywhere on the map without a gang member shooting at you.

How's Up Up and Away not on this list? That mission was terrible. 1. You have to go to the fuel depot and find a way to get inside. 2. You have to fight through guards with M4s, and they have an advantage. 3. You have to shoot down Hunters with a minigun turret. 4. You have to fly the Leviathan and use the magnet crane to pick up the truck. 5. Fly to the abandoned airstrip while the truck is swinging around. 6. Place the truck in the marker and land the helicopter.

Absolutely agree on the paramedic mission in gta 3, as someone who 100%ed this game i genuinely hated this mission from the bottom of my heart, especially when the pacients would dive straight into the ambulance, usually failing the mission, took me like 6-7 hours to finally do it

Weirdly, never had a problem with the VC RC plane bombing mission :S HOWEVER, used to hate the construction site one because the builders swarm you and take ya HP away in seconds :/, and the blades chopping at them ALSO hurts the damn thing, and every single one of them has a death wish, running RIGHT at them. So I often find myself having to attempt it twice :/. I could be wrong, but I have a theory on the yoga minigame as well. There are alot of yoga points in the map, and a lot of them seem to be on high places, I mean A LOT. I think they were to do with Mike's cut Alien DLC, something connected with it... because yeah as it stands, it has 0 point in the game as it stands but could have been linked to that ((as it's also linked to the mission where you get drugged, and? see aliens)).

In both GTA 3 AND Vice City, I've failed Paramedic missions on late levels due to the peds running into my back wheel which apparently kills them. It's very annoying.

That‘s a simple one. The Patriot is one of the most OP cars in the game. You can literally drive up a hill at a 70 degree angle. Watch a video and copy exactly that. Once you get a hang of it, it‘s easier.
