The odd thing about this video is you went through the middle of two neighborhoods that I have lived in for many years. The most disappointing is your portrayal of the Paseo Arts District. Did you do any research about the history of this area? Did you look into the improvements being done near the Capitol? Even though I don't live there anymore, my family and closest friends do. Doesn't every town have an old area? Isn't there poverty everywhere? On the inside, some of these homes are just gorgeous, with beautiful woodwork. every town has a mixed bag. But having lived in OKC since age 12, I can tell you there are much worse neighborhoods. And some of the most beautiful homes I've ever seen are in OKC.....to rival Beverly Hills.

what is it with oklahoma cops that pull you over for no real reason? are they bored? do they only stop people who wont hurt them? i have be pulled over on i 40 near muldrow and he had no reason, said he wanted to warn me about the construction. now in the southern border of the state, same shit, no real reason. maybe it was the out of state plates. made my wife want to sell the house we just bought there and stay in texas.

I moved away from crime and murders and wanted a lower cost of living , he said it’s crime here too . I started laughing , I told him when does the crime start ? At night it’s so damn hot they must do it at night 🤣🤣🤣 cause no ones hardly outside . You don’t see ppl on any corners harassing you , you don’t see ppl shooting at each other , I told the police officer , just be glad you don’t have to bodybag ppl every week . Not tornado damage, they had a terrible ice storm last October that damaged most of the trees throughout the city. The damage looks similar to what a tornado would do, so I understand your mistake.

Lol. Dude. You drove through two growing neighborhoods that are old. The paseo is a literal arts district with a booming economy and you chose to drive through there?? You literally drove past multiple multi million dollar buildings, 2 community gardens, the headquarters of the largest local restaurant group, about 20 succesful local restaurants, and abour a dozen art galleries. Okc has bad parts but what you drove through was definitely not it.

Where is the narration? Exactly what part of OKC is this?
@karinoshea33303 жыл бұрын
It was mostly the north and northeast sections of the city. The large gray cathedral is a Presbyterian church complex with gorgeous stained glass windows and an old cemetery. He then drove through the heart of our historic Paseo Arts District with most of the original Craftsman bungalows still there. There really isnt much by way of widespread dilapidated buildings because of urban renewal and strict code enforcement. Granted there are pockets of run down neighborhoods here and there, and a large homeless population along the I40 corridor, but mostly you'll find hard working folk who take pride in their surroundings. This was filmed in the winter so you didnt get to see just how green Oklahoma City really can be. Most of the tree damage that I saw in this video appears to be from the ice storms that we've been having the last few winters. I encourage everyone to come and visit Oklahoma City and see for yourself. We aren't as flashy as larger cities and the night life is a bit sleepy, but you'll find lots of museums and art galleries, a world class zoo, and some of the warmest, friendliest people that you could ever hope to meet! Much love from Oklahoma! P.S. no, I dont work for the tourism dept or a P.R. firm, just a proud citizen of central Oklahoma for 44 years.
