Just sharing, to those who had such issues and a method on how to identify the unit. I previously had neighbor making loud bang/stomping noise in the middle of the night. And I called the police. Even through the police, it doesn't resolve the issue. The neighbour above me, had enough of the police visits, and dropped by my house, saying they are not the one and asking us to stop calling the police. One night, the noise starts again at 1-2am. So pissed, I put my head out of the window and wanted to shout back, then I realized, though within the apartment, the sound came from the top, but when i listen from outside the window, it actually came from the unit down afew floors. Anyway long story short, the correct unit had been identified, and the noise had been controlled and reduce greatly.

@JimmBradley2 жыл бұрын
Firstly I think because it is kinda troublesome, then even when you complain to the police or town council right, they will send letter or go talk to the pple who you complain about. They usually try to get them to have a meeting or discussion to see if can solve the issues. And if the neighbor doesn't want to compromise or even comply to meet and they are not doing anything really against the law. There is nothing much the authorities can do to them. Yes it sounds sad but the authorities cannot just be bias base on complains. This happened to my friends where they have a neighbor from hell, it will be a long process to do anything about it.

Would always like to knock on the wall, hammer, scream and shout for no reason at all regardless of the time and day. for like 2 to 3 years. I even heard from his supposed relative that he does indeed have some mental issues but never once actually went for a mental checkup because of "reasons" And like Sushii said. Even if you call HDB, Town Council or the police they can do nothing. MP using their "Talk no Jutsu" sometime does nothing as well. And when covid hits. Then this neighbor suddenly quiet down all of a sudden. But do still occasionally make noise. What makes matter worst was that he supposedly started a fire near a MRT track nearby our HDB block area since we are situated near an MRT station as well.

seems like many living in hdb flat would tend to face such issue. ive neighbour who would always drill and hammer, initially it was obviously renovating but three months passed it was still the same, i ended up didn't further my studies cause the constant drilling gave me daily headache and insomnia and eventually thyroid. slowly one year passed, still same nuisance, three years passed, constantly things dropping and always there's someone running above us we initially thought it was a kid but doesnt make much sense for kids to make so much noises past midnight, we made a conclusion it was adult making it as after raising the unit, was told that they had company registered under their address, and strangely my block 60% were registered for home business while other blocks in the estate doesnt have any company register as home business, and the nuisance matches the sound of manufacturing building materials, as it sounds like machine manufacturing the item and it drops to the floor every few seconds. we initially don't believe but was provided such information by the authorities we lodge complains to. five years passed, feet stomping nonstop, every where this persons walk would be able to hear it clearly, even using the toilet could hear it, from urinating to flushing the toilet bowl to stomping out of the toilet. we sometime got confused with hammering sound and stomping feet. 9 years have passed, nowadays nuisances tend to came from other neighbours instead, partly due to hollow wall, daily slept halfway through I had to deal with next door neighbour right behind my bedroom wall, which was hollow, so it was amplified pretty loud that he's behind me clearing his throat "UGH" sometime worse "UGH UGH UGH UGHHHHH". sometimes I find it strange, we notified hdb years ago, they would only say our walls and floor are hollow, and they would just say don't go near the wall. and they didn't do anything about it, nowadays drilling and hammering came from next door instead of upstair unit. and I remember a year before covid happens, this next door neighbour cleared this throat and spit his phlegm infront of our door, I raised the matter on inservice app and they arrange someone to wash our common corridor floor

I had neighbours from China that bought portable clothes hanger and place right outside my main door to hang their undergarments, that led us not able to move freely outside. Also, their kids are the worst, they peed right outside my corridor where the plants were. When the wind blow, you could smell the stint that linger for days unless you wash off with water. Legit annoying, the old man would smoke at the common corridor and the smoke would suffocate me at night.

Actually they aren't allow to pee there. so you have the right lodge a complain and if allowed... Get them charged for doing so. And if the pee was still there can trace back to them.

What if he is beating his family members or a pet? And emailing Desmond Lee is useless. I’m speaking from experience.
