Lizzy is fearless. (Or if not, she's a champion at projecting fearlessness.) I watched this recovery sitting comfortably on my sofa having lunch, and it made me terrified, even knowing that it was unlikely to have ended in anyone's fatal injury at the bottom of a sandy ravine. Matt's knowledge and confidence in just what his vehicle can do continues to amaze me.

Yes sir. And I don't want to hear any of that "for a girl" nonsense out of anybody, either. There aren't a lot of humans of any gender, or any age, with the right "feel" for traction and a sensitive enough foot to apply it to do what she does almost daily. Especially jumping in and out of different vehicles all the time.

*Not to take anything away from Lizzy* yet I heard Matt ask her if she is driving *with both feet*. That means one foot is on the gas-pedal, the other (left) foot is *hovering over the brake pedal* not touching it! This way one can press on the brake, before one lifts the right foot off the accelerator. I've driven like this in city-traffic for years, in stop and go.....

Recoveries like this really showcase the experience and instinct Matt has for this type of work. No margin for error and he made it look easy. Also the training he has given his crew is spot on. If you had a winch on the back even a temp hitch mounted one, you wouldn't always have to turn around. I use Anderson quick connects front & rear to Jumpstart rigs as well. That way my fancy militarily battery ends never get chewed up my jumper cable clamps. Super handy setup for sure, use them on my car trailers & have 4-6 mounting ports flush with the deck, where I can drop my engine crane into (there is a tappered roller bearing on the bottom that carries the load & turns easily by hand loaded) The boom has a hydrologic ram only used as a backup since I rigged the crane with a little 3500lb winch that plugs into an Anderson connector at each location. It has become indispensable, I use it alot for moving engines, axles ect around by myself.

Little tip for those with lockers who need to do this kind of maneuvering... disengage your lockers before you start making tight, multipoint turns, otherwise you'll just plow in a straight line. Great video Matt...noticed at 3:51 abit of drone footage to catch a better angle of the Morrvair going up the landscape. If you can, please make it a regular feature in the videos, expanses the angles of view of the recovery 👍

Yes !! No more having to jog along side for on the run video. These drones will autonomously follow the vehicle. Could also be used to find stuckster's.

It is illegal to fly a drone over federally-owned or managed land, so most of Utah is off-limits.

Great recovery Matt. Lizzie’s perpetual lack of a seatbelt will come back to bite you one day. Especially when in the driver’s seat. Can’t do two footed precision control if your backside is an inch off the seat when Morvair lurches.

That was insane. Matt, you have unbelievable skill to get around the Jeep but Lizzy has mad skill herself after such a short while at this. Next time she tears her jeans on the job and asks you to buy a new pair, you should say quickly and loudly, yes ma'am, how many would you like. She is fearless.

Quintessentially qualified quips! I was wondering what was afoot, and then it came to me. Some kind of word fun, but where did the eleven fit in? I was only watching those hair-raising maneuvers and everything on me was puckering! There's some strong faith in the team members here. Good job, all of you. Oh, and it wasn't bad spotting. Matt just ran the MorrVair out of road and then stopped when it was appropriate to do so, just like when he runs out of gas.
