As a corrections officer myself, he should not be working in a prison if he can't behave like a professional. I get angry like anyone else, but I try to treat all inmates with some respect. That guy should have at least been written up and put on administrative leave for a few days. In any case, that officer should have been dealt with by the administration.

The kitchen staff which only consisted of the head chef at the prison I was at was an ok guy as long as we kept from getting in trouble he would buy us all real coffee and unless something happened that got him into trouble like the meals not being ready on time or to many fights or worse someone trying to steal a knife from the kitchen he would let us make whatever we wanted to eat so we didn’t have to eat whatever we made for the other prisoners if we didn’t want to. Anyway one day we got some new inmates on our shift and they were brought from the young offenders prison to our prison because they had turned 18 . The first thing they did was knock over a tray of food while horsing around. The chef let them off but when they kept it up and wouldn’t listen or clean or serve the kitchen boss came to us and told us if we didn’t straighten them up he would cut us off the good coffee and getting to eat whatever we wanted. Well when we finished lunch service and got to take our 30 minuets break until we had to get supper started and the dining hall cleaned we cornered them in the changing room and beat the hell out of them after telling them what was going to happen if they didn’t straighten up and clean the dining hall and serve the meals. As soon as we finished telling them what they had to do they in unison told us to go fuck ourselves and before the words finished coming out of the first kids mouth I knocked him out and the other kid got a really bad beating from the rest of the guys. When the first kid came to he was very polite and did his job just fine but the second kid yelled for the gaurd and transferred to protective custody after ratting out two of the guys that were the really wrong people to rat out. He got another beating right in front of the gaurds and kitchen boss and after that they only got a day in solitary because of the kitchen boss wanting them back because they were the two best grill guys. The next day we were two guys short but everything ran smooth and after we got the two grill guys back we got steak and eggs that day as soon as we walked in to get breakfast ready. The kitchen boss had brought us the steaks from his own freezer because we straightened the one kid out and bounced the other . That was the best job you could get in that prison as long as you kept the kitchen running smooth. I even became friends and cell mates with the kid I knocked out on his first day. The kitchen boss even tried to get me a job with his brother at their restaurant when I got out.
