@@aemackintosh I understand it can be hazardous. I've seen the Americans using it pre soaking surrounding area with water and rinsing afterwards. I am against using any biocide treatment, that's just me, but I did do it in the height of the sun last year which was a mistake in itself, a beautiful sun tan on my head anyway. I found a wire brush and duct taped it to the end of a paint roller extending handle. It did a great job compared to the finish achieved in the video and it's been absolutely clear for the last 9 months but I do not suffer from any tree debris like this owner and with it being my own property and me being an idle layabout pensioner I could afford to take my time.

I’m told that after cleaning, a length of copper wire should be fixed to each ridge then dropped vertically into a pit on the ground. The claim is that chemicals in the copper run down the roof when it is raining and in doing so prevents moss growth.

Hi Ashley hope you’re well, enjoyed your video as all the others, helps me with my business. Just a quick question how much do you charge for a roof that size you’ve done there? Thanks mark
@aemackintosh5 жыл бұрын
Marcus Frost I basically charge per square meter, roughly. I put a link in the description to my video about how to quote for roof cleaning.😃👍🏼

why did you not pressure wash after the scrapping
@aemackintosh4 жыл бұрын
I think it’s either one or the other really. I’ve been trying different methods of pressure washing roofs more recently.😃👍🏼

Brilliant video! What hose do you use going up the pole? Thanks

SH Pressure Washing Thanks. It’s a pretty standard 3mm wfp hose. A very long one.😃👍🏼

What biocide are you using? Would it not be advisable to have a form of PPE using the biocide to protect eyesight and airways?
@aemackintosh3 жыл бұрын
I use AlgoClear Biocide and yes you should use a P3R standard mask.😃👍🏼

Great job! I've watched a number of your videos now and I'm very impressed. If fact, based on one of your videos I I bought a Skyvac 85. Can you tell me what bicide do you use and where bought the application tool? Thanks, Nathan at Fascia Gutter

Thanks! I’m glad you find the channel useful. I use AlgoClear biocide. You can get a spray nozzle from DA Components, or quite often I will use an old water fed pole brush with fan jets, works a treat.😃👍🏼
