I'll be completely honest, my mom and I will argue sometimes, even raise my voice against her sometimes, and she can be toxic sometimes. But even so, I'll never dare to hit her. Yeah, parents can be annoying sometimes, but the least you can do is respect them as they literally spent half, if not most, of their life raising you and they're probably the only people that'll accept you for who you are, even when you're at your lowest.

One of my friends actually went there and showed me what happened. Raises serious questions about the condition of the household. The son could not have picked his behavior up from just anywhere; it must've been someone directly related to the family. The way he treats his mom as if HE was the parent instead (even if he was, still toxic), the way he expects his mom to bow down to him... these behaviors are learnt. The way the mother reacts to him says a lot too - she's probably so used to being treated like that (presumably by the dad too or someone else) that she's just accepted it and maybe even thinks she deserves it.
