Super hates Starfire Injustice 2 style. I just dislike the character period lol. You have no idea how many Starfires I've faced that made me finally quit Injustice 2. Deadshot now he's alright depending how the player uses him. Aquaman & Starfire are the *WORST* characters in Injustice 2 lol. Starfire is cheap & Aquaman is so damn cheesy.

It just street fighter tends to have a better punishment system to zoners if they become too predictable unlike mk, and injustice, so zoning with Ryu with just fireball is suicide against experience players. While in mk or injustice, zoning is notoriously abusive, hence why scrubs use them. Zoning itself isn't bad if a character is built for it, not every character should be the same, but spamming is a different story. In fighting history there's always been different types of play style. balance like Ryu, grabbers like zangief, zoners like dhaslim, and rushdown like Cammy. it up to developers to balance these. A skill player is a player who can for the most part, can get around all sort of play style, that the point of fighting game. If you lose to a zone character, that is your fault, but yes spamming is different especially in netherrealm case.

Because her pressure is pretty weak? Admittedly, her zoning pressure is pretty strong, but gut close up game is pretty lacking. While all her strings are safe, she doesn’t have any overhead starter other than the universal forward+3. She has an overhead knockdown, but it’s no wonder, and it starts high. Her back+1-2 doesn’t lead to any combos, and has slow startup. Her 2-1 doesn’t either, unless she’s in the corner. Her only hit confirmable combo starter is ther 2-3. She has an extremely good air game for a zoner, and I personally feel like they gave her too many options there, and her tamaranean charge should definitely not have invincibility frames on reversal, but other than that, she’s pretty ok.

Bandito FGC also fully punishable. It’s her one single true mixup, and it doesn’t lead to any sort of combo, and forces you to switch sides, even if you wouldn’t want to. In other words, useless for f*cking up enemies in the corner, since it literally puts her there instead.

Actually I think Injustice3 will be the most improved NRS game in quite a while. But it depends a lot of if they heard the community being against the zoning thing. And even if they choose MK11 route (of gameplay) it will still be improved. Cuz NRS do have their moments of listening to the community. And they also try to improve on the next game they make.

It’s so funny, playing against zoning characters is legit a COMPLETELY different game as a whole, when I play against a rush down it’s all mental, tryna read the mixups, thinking about where you wanna block and punish, but then you play a zoner and it just turns into a spam chip battle and you’re basically just praying your the one who gets the health advantage early on so you can just trade damage all game, you basically never have to even consider clashes,tech grabs,blocking etc when playing vs a zone spam and it’s so frustrating, you basically gotta learn 2 seperate games and it feels like such a waste of time practicing just to be sitting there holding down occasionally poking, on top of that it’s so fuckin boring and you’re brain falls asleep cause like I said before you barely have to think about anything half the time

Not gonna lie, Starfire is irritating as hell. Most people set her up for pure zoning, but she can be a good all-around character if you have enough of a brain to use her properly. One of her ability augments, Nova Burst, actually allows you to adjust her Trait for pop-ups so that you can focus more on the close-range game with her instead of using her as a zoner. If used properly along with X-Hal's strength, Starfire can become a pretty monstrous juggler, allowing you serious flexibility in play style. @Super This is Kira, by the way, one of your mods from Twitch (FoxfirePrincess, if you need the tag for a reminder). I play starfire alot in ij2. Mainly for the purpose that she looks great. And i can actually pop off 500+ dmg combos that are not just zoning attacks. i rarely use her to zone. I only do it to chip a tiny bit of super i need for a bar, or to throw in a ball to apply a bit of pressure so i can rush in

the three characters i hate are, in this order, darkseid, aquaman, and harley quinn. i can deal with every other character. when i fight a starfire i just pick batman. when i fight deadshot i pick enchantress. the reason i pick batman instead of enchantress for starfire is because starfire's ranged attacks go through hells gate instead of bouncing back and hitting my opponent.

How do u play starfire as a rush down. I love her as a character but her playing style is ZONING. You can't play her as you would maybe catwoman or black canary. Her frames are weak, she is safe on almost everything except non meterburned specials. And her trait is a high which can be interrupted her forward 2, also a high. Her low starting back 1 has terrible range she has zero footsie potential. She was made to play the zoning game. Honestly I don't understand why they would buff her walkspeed as well. Makes zero sense but oh well who am I to complain I suck at this game!! :)

@@jasper.rubyftw Honestly, Starfire as a rushdown character isn't as impossible as people think. If you give her the abilities Nova Burst and X-Hal's strength, her pop-up juggle potential is crazy. Nova Burst for the unexpected pop-up, plus the quick recharge time for her Trait from X-Hal's Strength gives her plenty of potential. Used in tandem with Tamaranean Charge for quick distance closing after hard knockbacks, this combo can be devastating in the right hands.

I think the exact same thing about Deadshot. He's honestly the most stylish character with amazing voice actor and a great costume design, but his entire design is based on his zoning which I find inherently lame and unenjoyable. I would love a close range version of Deadshot. NRS undeniably messed up with some of the characters in this game :( also I love how they released Starfire long AFTER all the complaints of zoning in the game. The only 2 zoning moves starfire should ever have is a beam like her trait (but it shouldn’t be the trait it should be the meter burn of the next ability I’m mentioning) and then her shooting a smaller beam out of each hand like she does in her supermove and in teen titans, everything else should be based in close quarters, same with deadshot, he can still use a bunch of guns but set it up so that in like a 112 it’s the final hit and just a small shot with the typical range of a punch, so he can still have the “constant guns everywhere” design but he can’t sit back and use them from range

Deadshot is actually the second best when it comes to zoning, starfire is the first but she is so good at zoning that it is annoying most of the times. In my opinion the worst zoner is cyborg. I think that deadshot is the most decent zoner out of all, he is good at both far and close combat, and no so annoying to play against, while his ranged attacks aren't so difficult to counter if you are good

My advice would be to go into practice mode and learn how to play every character, if your comfortable playing every character then you know what to expect when you face them online. Another thing I'd do is practice blocking. It's always good to know when to block low and high, so you'll need to get familiar with every characters low and overhead combo starters. And lastly, don't be afraid to lose. Nobody gets any better if they don't lose. Losing means you can make mistakes and then you can correct them until you turn into a mk god ;)

You should try on practice mode, depending on your character, there are a few things that might help. First try to find your characters best normals. So for example 1 is circle 2 is triangle and 3 is x. Now try setting the computer to preform a string or a special and see if you can learn how to whiff (miss) punish and just regular punish some of the moves. You will have to learn to space out your opponent and for combos the only thing I can tell you is just keep practicing. once you get one combo down, it will gradually become easier for you to preform combos.

@@jon_ovo3653 For juggling the only tip I can give you is watch the other character. See where there hurt box lies and try to land your fastest normal to first keep them in the juggle (for most characters it's a down 1) then you can go into your standing moves to continue and finish your combo.
