During that 2022 world cup, think about it. They were in a group that had two teams taht would co to the semis, and play for 3 rd place. They also had Belguim, which in the previous world cup had finished 3rd. One wonders how they would have done if they had been in the other groups that had CONCACAF teams.

Im from 🇵🇦 panama. i agree we were the worst team there. We Panamanians were all happy we made it and scored in the World Cup. Panama is a really small country, but since that world cup we improved a lot, made it to gold cup final, and now in the final four for nation cup tmmr against mexico and i know we can beat them and get our revenge. I find it incredible how bad our national team (Serbia&Montenegro) did in 2006. In qualifications for WC we were first in the group ahead of Spain and conceded 1 goal in the entire qualifications. Team was packed with talent, with Stankovic, Vidic, Kezman and others. We all had high hopes for the WC. Then a moron coach invited his own son who is completely marginal player no one heard of, and created whole contraversy and ruined the atmosphere. Then Vidic got injured, or didnt want to play, because he was always strongly against corruption, and all went to hell.

As someone from the UAE I was praying there was someone who performed worse than us But from what my dad told me a lot of our starters were injured but either way we would’ve been out as our group was pretty difficult I’m surprised that team managed to make it in 1990 but couldn’t during 2014-18 as our national had 2 players that were seen as one of the best players playing in Asia But tbf at 1990 we were a newly established country we’ve gotten our independence 18 years prior to the tournament(still any version of our national team probably would’ve been cooked at that group stage)

Canada were very unlucky to lose to Belgium in the first match. Canada outplayed the Belgians but couldn't find the net. They were unlucky not to tie the game with Morocco near the end of the match when they hit the crossbar. The only team that handle them well were Croatia.

In 2014 the first match of Cameroon seemed not too bad on paper only losing 0:1, but the terrible referee actually dissallowed 2 regular goals for Mexico, so it would've been even worse.

Well the benefit of hosting is that you autoqualify but Qatar may be the last country to do this thanks to expansion. We might actually see countries qualify before they get to host. Qatar is also looking to qualify through merit this time, so they may improve by 2026 (they already won Asian Cup so that’s a good start)

Qatar is known to have major influence over the AFC (referees and VAR), so while they may do well in Asia, that influence won't carry to a FIFA tourney and they will get pummeled yet again (assuming they qualify)

No I watch the 2022 world cup Canada vs Croatia. The Croatia player fell down rolling around and crying. That cost Canada a yellow card then the Canadian play walked by the other Croatia play slightly bump into him he fell down and started to cry. Canada got a red card for it. because of that it was 10 players vs 9 players and Croatia won the game. What a shame you guys can't beat Canada without crying to the refs for a red card that's so embarrassing you soccer fans should go dig a hole and hide.
