So sorry this happened to you, thank goodness at least it happened after Milan fashion week so you weren’t left clothesless for the Milan shows. Italy has some of the slyest crooks in the world. I live in Milan part-time and in Cali the other time and I’ve learned from day one from Italian locals never un-attach yourself from your belongings even for a second and especially when you’re on the train, you must keep your suitcase with you at all times and just put it in the seat next to you or on the floor in the aisle way and just let it stick out in the aisle way, as people will walk or jump over it to get by (this goes for all of Europe). Another tip, consider not carrying flashy luggage. Nice luggage screams steal/open me.

I’m so sorry that happened. There’s nothing worse than something like that while traveling. We were in Italy, which I adore, and on my fav train, the Frecciarossa. My hubby wanted to put the luggage on that rack next to the exit doors. The luggage is pretty nice but there was nothing I’d miss in there. Anyway…I kept saying no. A beautiful Italian woman told him he should probably take my advice and then she pointed out that there’s plenty of space on the lower level under the seats, that no one uses for some odd reason. She proceeded to tell me that nice luggage is stolen the exact same way yours was. 🥺😞 No one and I mean no one had their bags in the lower level. All were either above or on those racks. Not sure they knew. But I was able to take a nap and not worry. 🥰😉 Super grateful to the lady who looked for us too. ❤🙏🫶🏽

MARIA!!!!!! Long time no speak beauts!!!! But nooooo.... this actually happened to me in the UK. I was travelling to a work meeting and was getting a short work flight to Cardiff. Me and my friend stopped off for lunch as we was early, she was dropping me off at the airport. I had my belongings in the car, locked them in the boot where someone in the car park was watching me do so. Designer over night bag and matching carry on. My Rolex, my make up, Work Blackberry (it was a while ago) Gucci jewellery, Gucci shoes, Burberry Jacket & Scarf and of course my laptop and clothes, plus cash... we was gone 45minutes and come back to a car window smashed, they climbed through the car and dragged the back seat forward and got into the boot that way... my heart sunk, stomach flipped and the place we stopped off at didn't have the cctv on record. Police recovered my lap top bag and some personalised stationary that was in a bush at the side of the road near where my items were stolen a few weeks later... i was beyond sickened to my stomach... and it wasn't until this happened to me that i realised how much the items cost what i wore every day to work or even supermarket... I'm now insured to the hilt for all my items worn every day. And it all adds up... LADIES: Add it up: Even just your basics! Ie: Phone, Bag, Wallet, Wedding rings, watch, shoes/trainers, ear pods, etc.... runs into thousands and we dont realise it. Please take out insurance and look after yourself. I know some things you cant put a price on for sentimental reasons but insure everything!!!!! Lots of Love Maria... this has just gave me all the feels of that day i was robbed so i can relate.... i feel so bad for you... I'm actually gutted for you....xxx

I’m so sorry this happened. May I recommend traveling with very plain looking luggage. Thieves figure that trendy expensive luggage will have trendy expensive contents so if they have to make a quick grab for A vs B they’ll choose the more expensive luggage.

Yepppp! I always carry a cheap plastic looking luggage with stickers over it. No one looks at it twice, no one looks at me twice either because I dress so basic to travel. When I go out and I’m dressed up, I’m very careful about my shit because people pay attention to me.
