I disagree. Did you see his explanation. I do see your point, but the difference is, with a choke he's not absorbing devastating blows as your examples do. That's what happens when you doubt yourself over all the criticism. He was thinking twice about his decisions and all up in his head. Dana White is the worst thing that's happened to the sport itself and needs to be put in his place and stop being such a btch and making outlandish statements about everything.

Tbf Joe says “that doesn’t look like the back of the head to me” but Mario walked up and first punch he saw was a back of head shot.
@neo-talkinghead6653 Жыл бұрын
I feel like on the second one where he calls the time out he was in the right to a degree. The fighter whose mouthpiece fell out visibly did the hand T time out signal, dropped his hands, and turned completely away from his opponent. Even if the mouth guard didn’t fall out and the ref saw that he should’ve jumped in. And on number 3, those are just obviously illegal shots. Those punches are visibly, on the camera, in front of all our eyes, landing directly center on the back of his head. I counted 3 clean shots that I would definitely consider illegal. Joe Rogan has no idea what he’s talking about. Yamasaki even says “that’s not the back of the head?” While it freeze frames on a huge hammer fist to the spinal column.

I’ve driven 800 times, and everyone just focuses on the 4 DWIs I’ve had and the 4 lives I ruined, it’s not fair that they never talk about all the times I drove without any accidents! That’s what Yamasaki sounds like. I didn’t even think the Valentina fight was the worst, Val kept stopping punching every time I thought he was about to stop it. The Cowboy vs Cowboy submission was unforgivable. Inexcusable. He should have retired immediately after that fuckup, and the fact that he didn’t proves he has no honor and no shame.

Gotta say, seems more like people reacting to absolutely nothing, rogan shouldn't just ambush a dude with an interview, on top of that it's literally a blood sport, fighters are allowed to make mistakes and so are the refs, they know what sport they signed up for and they know the consequences of the sport they signed up for. Dude seemed like a good ref who people made an example of for no reason. Put it like this, of all the sports in the world to have a "worst ref of all time" ufc is towards the bottom of the list, their refs almost always make correct calls and stop fights properly, just because a dude makes mistakes doesn't mean he's incompetent, it means he's human.

Part of what makes him so bad is he’s all over the place. Some refs are known for stopping fights a little late, some a little early but at least they are consistent. Like an ump that consistently calls his strike zone a little wide. This guy honestly doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing so each mistake is an over correction to the last mistake. Back and forth.

MMA refs like any corporate job come down to relationships. When things are going well, you'll never hear complaints. When sh*t starts hitting the fan, that's when you'll find out who's your friend or foe. While Yamasaki did have a few blunders it appears his biggest mistake was his indifference to building relationships outside the octagon (Rogan & Dana White specfically)

@@lewischristie2285 Im just asking them to be more aware of the situation.
