A small extra about “The Guy Game” the reason the game was pulled from shelves had nothing to do with its quality (although that should also be considered a crime) One of the girls featured, lied about her age during the filming . 8:45 The worst part of Aliens: Colonial Marines is that someone found out that there was a single line of code that fixed the poor enemy AI. It was caused because a developer had a typo and put "teather" instead of "tether", and in this case the typo broke their whole code. When fixed the enemy behavior is what you'd find in a regular game. But without the fix, when the game released I remember the enemy AI being very bad and often being too stationary.

6:00 Correction: Bubsy returned in 2017 and 2019 with two games, The Woolies Strike Back and Balls of Furry. 36:38 It wasn't Hudson Soft's idea, rather Konami's during their acquisition of the company so they'd get the rights of Bomberman, since they were desperate at the time, and it shows. Hudson Soft went bankrupt in 2012, and we should blame Konami for their treatment towards the company prior to their inevitable fall from grace upon firing Hideo Kojima and the infamous Nikkei Report. When you realize Metal Gear, Castlevania, and Silent Hill got skins in Super Bomberman R with the voice actors behind those beloved characters reprising their roles, I should mention Act Zero to David Hayter(Solid Snake) and Quinton Flynn(Raiden) as a joke, due to it being inexplicably abysmal, with no save data, a forgettable soundtrack, jiggle physics on the Bomberwomen, and the worst video game redesign next to El Donte(made worse when his OG design was faithful to Dante's appearance in the Devil May Cry series' main continuity, until Capcom hijacked development without Ninja Theory's permission). What an insult, but the mention would be quite funny towards these renowned MGS cast members due to the early 2000's obsession over edge in vein to a 12 year old Call of Duty player calling someone on Xbox Live offensive slurs(mostly the N word).

Decent video. here is some corrections plus some somewhat important things about some of the games I have noticed were omitted. I'm not familiar with all of them so I'm probably missing some stuff. Action 52: Entry contains a lot of omissions, namely descriptions of common problems with gameplay (Repeat Shooter, Bizarre jump controls, two games which routinely crash in some versions, a game which literally would crash after level 5 (to which an award was set for anyone who got to level 6). Implication that Cheetahmen is the collections only platformer, Biggest omission is "The Action Gamemaster", which was the intended final game before the guy funding its creation saw the ninja turtles and demanded they do what they do (with little to no time left). Bubsy 3D: Bubsy has had several modern reinstatement, Omits Bubsy's major issues as a platformer (Tank Controls, a camera which lunges upwards every time Bubsy Jumps and down once he lands, slipping off of a ledge being an instakill and more), Also video editing mistake where Getting Over It shows up for a few frames. Aliens: It's major citicisms being the contrast between the product itself and the advertising, especially in relation to graphics, features and enemy AI Balan Wonderworld: it's world not land, mainly known for the presence of the creator of Sonic being head of the game, with development outsourced to a company owned by Sonic's Character designer and the director for Sonic CD. Its most infamous for its bizarre gameplay and story decisions, where nothing is explained without the novelization and power ups can regularly remove your jump abilities, along with being stupid concepts in general (most famously, box fox, a fox costume which every few seconds turns into a cube. Night Trap: The Masked Intruders are called "Augers" (Essentially vampires,). There is no graphic violence, with the game making deliberate steps to make it less violent (such as the blood sucking machines) Nintendo CDI: The Hotel Mario entry focuses on the absurd premise rather then flaws with the gameplay, iirc its has frustrating mechanics, but I've never played it (as with most of the games here) Quiet Man: The silent cutscenes were the games big idea, though they can be played with dialogue if you beat the game. Its not worth it. Dikatana: Nitpicky, but the company is called Ion Storm Plumbers don't wear ties: Does not mention the bizarre filtering and photoshop jobs done on some of the stills. They almost make the game worthwhile Dr Jekyll: The cane attack is designed to be situational, most gameplay is based on avoidance to which the game has a variety of absurdities such as uneven hitboxes which make that more difficult E-Football: Its not just mobile games, there are PC and Console versions of the game and they seem to be what E football is referring to Hunt Down the Freeman: While a nitpick, it should be mentioned that the game was fan made and published officially, similar to Mega Man Vs Street Fighter DDI: Exclusively talks about Ninjabread man, doesn't describe faults, platformers are most famous for all being direct clones of Ninjabread Man. Should also note that Ninjabread man is a half-baked prototype for a Zool sequel that hastily changed the character design when they lost the rights over quality concerns. Pac Man 2600: Game's flickering is a necessary evil of mantaining the four ghosts on screen, due to the inane limitations of the 2600. Game was also weirdly designed for multiplayer, and was made while the programmer was high (iirc from a Retro Gamer interview) Hong Kong 97: Happysoft has released 2 games (The other being a management game making fun of the cult Aum Shinriko, with the goal of causing the 1995 Sarin Gas Attacks), the game's a deliberate farce designed by a "Dark Tourism" journalist and a developer at Square he was friends with to mock the tight regulations of Nintendo, you're goal is explicitly to kill all of China not that Chin ends up doing so, The corpse is a real, commonly assumed to be a Polish Boxer due to the date aligning with his suicide. Popeye: Popeye was not going to be the mascot of Nintendo. Instead, Donkey Kong, which would spawn nintendo's mascot, was intended to be a Popeye License game before realizing they only had the rights to print cards of him. Levels of the officially licensed unoffical remake are Unity stock assets. Dark Castle: Does not mention Dark Castles controls, known for being its worse feature Little Britian: several reapeated lines, focuses on sexual innuedos rather than the reason the game is her, it's piss poor gameplay and design. Stargazers: It is important to note that Kusoge is to some extent treated as a genre term (also sometimes used to refer to extremely broken fighting games). The game is about Psychic Kids and the AI turns out to be an intergalactic race of dolphins looking to take over the world. It's got its reputation due to being completely unbalanced with impossible enemy encounters seconds into the game, using pure Hiragana for text despite having built in Katakana used exclusively on the password screen (note Japanese uses Katakana for expressing loan words, which is a lot of words in a Sci-Fi game), the final boss just not being programmed so that the option is an instant bad ending, weapons which can weaken the player even at the start of the game, ugly abstract visuals and bugs so great you can break the scolling just by using 2 controllers. Super Monkey: The Plot is also an adaptation of Journey To The West. The game is the Asian equivalent of the Homeric Epics in terms of literary influence, so a Japanese Audience would understand much of the premise from familiarity with the source material Top Banana: From an American perspective maybe, though at least in Europe the Amiga is one of the big influential pillars of gaming (also for rave music, thanks to its sampling capabilities). The Atari ST I think might have also been pretty known too. Human Killing Machine: US Gold is a publisher, and Tiertex is the developer. Tiertex are well known for shit home computer ports. Sonic Jam Gamecom: As the gamecom is physically incapable of colour, I dont think its right to criticise its monochromatic display. SQIJ: The game is a port of Commodore 64 game (also on the C64's lesser version the Vic 20 of the same name. A poke refers to poking into the games data and manually altering it yourself. This is to turn off capslock, which turns on upon the start despite the game only acciepting lower case imputs. It should also be noted that the ZX Spectrum, while a home computer (known at the time as "microcomputers"), is basically the European NES (Especially in the UK, where it was made). The ways home computer markets worked in Europe made for a large amount of shit games, not helped by the ZX spectrum being a very cheap and underpowered, yet popular console. Hareraiser Prelude and Finale: The Games existence relies on the company head having cheated his way into winning a golden rabbit statue made by the artist Kit WIlliams as part of a contest for his artbook Masquerade. The game as such takes most of its concept from that. The two games were high priced titles despite the minimal programming, with both games able to fit onto a floppy disk for even the least powerful console it was ported to. It is important to note that the only change between Prelude and Finale are some different clues and the presence of spiders.

About the whole Pheonix Games thing. Most of their games that contained films are mostly ones sith animations from Dingo Pictures, same with Midas Interactive. The biggest piece of irony is that these animations in those games supposedly weren't authorized by Dingo Pictures at all. since theres actually quite a bit in this video that apparently wasnt properly researched or defined, i figured i'd do my part and clarify something in here that even someone else who clarified it got it wrong. the dead body at the game over screen in Hong Kong 97 is real, however it's also not of Leszek Blazynski, or Atef Bseiso, or Farag Foda (all three of those having been speculations as to who the image is of). The image is actually from a Japanese "shockumentary" or mondo film named New Death File III. In NDFIII, at 28:55 (not in this video, despite youtube timestamping that part of the video), during footage of the Bosnian War in 1992, the film shows the body of a deceased civilian. this was confirmed several years ago to be the body featured in HK97. this is all found from in total 3 (three) google searches. research isn't extremely hard, esp with something as widely covered as Hong Kong 97, though considering this is at a point in the iceberg where most of everything is widely known, i doubt there's many people watching who aren't aware of hong kong 97.

56:00 I wouldn't say Miyamoto wanted Popeye to be the mascot for Nintendo, as Mario ended up being the mascot because he was an original character. It would've been more correct to say the game that eventually became Donkey Kong was to have the main cast of Popeye as the characters, but they failed to secure the rights so they invented DK and Jumpman (Mario) instead. Actually, if you judge The Guy Game by content alone, it's - supposedly - not half bad. (Obviously, I've never played it; the reason this game is so bad is related to the reason you could - no joke - be arrested for owning it.) IGN reviewed it, and based on gameplay alone, gave it a 7.5 rating, describing it as "solid, simple, and fun", if lacking in replay value. The reason the game is so notorious is, they never bothered to ask the age of the "contestants" featured in it, and one was under 18, making the game technically child porn (this is why pornographic film studios have gone through lengths to make sure that the actors they hired are of legal age and have consented to being in a porn production following the Traci Lords scandal of the 80s). The game was recalled, and a lawsuit later put Topheavy Studios out of business.

I don't want to criticize you, because I liked the video, but you may want to shorten your videos and not cover such a broad subject. I think it would help a ton for getting more views and comments but it's really hard to comment on long videos like this because there are so many changes in subject and people forget what all they watched

The ice bergs are made specifically to be long expansive listings of topics…just don’t watch this dude’s icebergs. He shouldn’t have to shorten them when plenty of KZbinrs that post long icebergs get crazy views.

Nah, long iceberg videos get a lot of views.

Claiming ET is worse than Big Rigs? Despite the actually working gameplay mechanics that even the AVGN pointed out are overhated by an audience that didn't bother with the instructions? Duke Nukem Forever was just juvenile and offensive? Unlike that critically acclaimed South Park RPG series? This list can't even handle the basics. Think I'll check out here.
