That's usually always the case 😂 whatever the show. Be it dance battles, singing battles, music battles etc. It's always the villain that's actually better but since he/she is the villain they'll always lose 🙄😂😂

I love that every time the main guy does something new, you can just see the background characters give subtle head shakes and looks of just pure confusion at what they're listening to, lol. Like the girl with the wavy black hair has so many amazing "What the fuck even is this" reactions of just sheer disbelief! So just watching them with how this would actually sound is effing incredible!

the "real" scene looks like the guy in the black jacket is trying desperately to play the violin while the guy in gray is trying to stop him/drown him out with actual playing lol

@@Zimzamzoom95 In sword-fighting they aren't always tying to kill each other either. In dueling, it's often just about cutting the opponent; the winner is the one who draws first blood.

I feel like most sword fight acting in films may seem legit to the average eye but is fake because they're not trying to kill each other (on set) and thus landing on each other at the same timing. They're supposed to cut the other person and who ever has to defend themselves has to block it and thus the clash happens, correct?

Yeah, I mean we don't know how long it lasted so it might've just been for a few seconds and that's fine, but as an apprentice theater kid the sword fighting was obviously lousy, and as a kid who took fencing lessons in middle school (elementary? can't remember) it reminded me of that one girl I would always get paired with in class who didn't seem to understand the concept of fencing and was always hitting my sword. Annoying.

As a joke once, I picked up my kid sister's 1/4 size practice cello, turned it around and started playing it like a comically oversized violin. I'm willing to bet money that it sounded better than whatever the hell the main character was doing.

anon ymous I would rather act violin very well as the main character in a movie that a friend of mine and I are working on. But my friend CAN’T play the violin, so this movie will have one actor that can, and another that CAN’T play the violin just like in the High Strung Movie.

In the movie they don't put any rosin on the bow making the violin silent and just add in the music in edditing. They're literally just staring each other down making no noise and pretending like they're playing something.

The ending could be a whole different movie, with the premise that the bad guy is actually quite good at playing the violin, while the good guy sucks at it, but everyone else is tone deaf (and smitten by good guy's handsome face) and the bad guy isn't actually a bad guy, but because he points out how much the good guy sucks everyone thinks he's a bully, even though he's just fighting for good music.

@@joshr.4045 The acting struck me as overblown, the script was lackluster, the characterisation was immediately bland with little distinction between the two rich white guys we're supposed to be interested in. The cinematography wasn't flattering or complementarity however there was an attempt at a style, and there was no common sense when it came to the scale of the film. It's a low budget movie, perhaps action filled sequences in large dancehalls might be out of reach. Keep the subject of the film, just be more intelligent about the script and production in order to keep production values up for the budget they're working with. There seemed to be absolutely no attempt at subtlety, which could have been a nice contrast if done right.

@Super Wukongo A quality bow really makes a difference in producing a beautiful sound when you're playing. The best bows were made in the 18th and 19th century and are rare, that's what makes them so valuable (like Stradivarius violins).
