Sim boomer moment but…Pretty much any other sim makes you do a full lap of the entire course when exiting the pits for the 24 hour format of the Nords. Kunos was super nice giving a shortcut. If you add up all the outlap I’ve done on the nords in normal assetto, you’d probably have 10% of my total sim time lol.

At the end of GP section, just before Nordschleife, turn right instead of left, and you get back to starting line. So called the shortcut. 😂

i love these kinds of videos because normally, in comparison to me you're so quick until we hit a new track I was able to set a valid (but slow) lap in about half an hour, makes me feel like if I just put in time I could definitely go quicker

yeah its all just practice. Best I've done now is an 8:19 in a race, but plenty of people are going a lot quicker than me in races still

It might be heresy but you could load up Forza. Run with suggested line and the rally corner callouts on. Forza might not have the most accurate handling but the braking points will be about the same.

"I know the track" - two corners laters yeets the car out of the track for the third or more time :D And then the brutal murder in Adenauer Forst.... huiuiui. :D But by the way - as far as I can remember: the whole track is called Nürburgring, only the part from "T13 - Hatzenbach" until "Hohenrain - Schikane" (which is shorter in the GP version) is the real Nordschleife.

the reason you have to do 2 laps is because the actual start line is at the gp track; not the end of the nordschliefe pitlane

I've never really driven this track either. Its ridiculously brutal to learn. I turned up my bump stop range to 24 on both the front and back with the McLaren and it seemed to help with grip a lot

god the argument over the shortcut actually hurt my brain (and sides). incase you didnt end up working it out: you can take the normal gp loop last corner instead of turning left onto the nordschleife to skip it

I actually prefer Assetto Corsa to ACC, the cars are way too "skitty" in ACC, unrealistic. At least the FFB includes slip FFB. Unless of course I've just not found that setting in ACC yet.

personally I think the 296 is the worst car on this track. the M4 AMG are really good 992 is even better than 296 on Nordschleife. curbs and bumps make the 296 super slippy.
