Ugin’s Conjurant is actually halfway good. It works well in decks that have anthem effects (say all creatures get +1/+1) that also put +1 counters on creatures. The card only removes counters. It does NOT add -1/-1 counters. It also PREVENTS damage. So say you have a +1 anthem effect out and cast this for 0 mana. It’s a 1/1. Then say you add a +1 counter. It’s a 2/2. Say someone attracts with a 50/50 creature and you chump block with Ugins. The 50 damage is prevented, 50 +1 counters are removed, and Ugins doesn’t die as it is still a 1/1 because of the anthem. It basically has two lives to damage. If you add another +1 counter, it gets back up to two lives. And it’s colorless so you can stick it in any deck. Not the best offensive card - but can be dangerous as a defensive card.

Funny enough, Ugin's Conjurant and Chamber Sentry were two of the staple cards of one of my actually competitive standard decks. It ran them alongside a bunch of 0 cost and X cost cards that I could cast for 0, then used Song of Creation so that every card I cast would draw me two, then used Teferi's Tutelage so that whenever I draw a card the opponent mills two. Then it had 4 of Uro, so that if the combo ever died, I could restart it from the grave even if I drew a land. It was amusingly effective for such a silly deck concept.

1:11:00 at 4 mana (4 generic and 2 green) it could be anywhere from 2-12 power toughness, if you meant x=4 it could be anywhere from 4-24 power/toughness.

Sealed fate seems interesting just too expensive to make it do what you really want to do, like dig 20 into your opponents deck and stack all there interaction at the bottom. but by then you there are much betters ways to win with 20 some mana

44:30 I use Astral Cornucopia in a Magus Lucea Cane deck. Since it's an X cost, I get a copy, and if I have Jin-Gitaxius Progress Tyrant out, I'd get an additional copy. Feed 9 mana into this thing and you basically have 3 Guilded Lotuses. Well worth the price of admission in my opinion.

Orochi Hatchery, man that's nostalgia for me. I used that thing in a green deck in the kamigawa days, and I tell you what, it's actually pretty good. Had the green flipper in there too, which could put it over the top, triple mana production lol. If it's a green deck with decent mana ramp or you have ways to add charge counters, which would be alot easier now days, it can put in some work, give you a bunch of blockers and at instant speed, or used to swarm the opponent.

Power Sink was annoying with Psychic Venom \o/. Making opponents chew on themselves to keep a spell was downright mean.

Crackle With Power, 5 mana it's basically a Lava Axe (which is what Lava Axe costs), and 8 Mana it's Searing Wind (for 1 less mana), 11 Mana is 15 dmg to 3 targets. That card is actually not that bad, but you'll probably never cast it higher than X=2 unless you've got some kind of infinite mana combo.

What you're asking actually was designed way back in 2002 funnily enough (Magic's weird like that). The Phantom Creatures from Judgment had that exact mechanic. Most of them kind of suck offensively since they basically give your opponent's creatures Wither. Unless you're running a Hardened Scales kind of deck, I wouldn't recommend using them outside a limited / draft environment. The two that actually saw competitive play (the 2002 and 2003 World championships to be exact) were Phantom Centaur and Phantom Nishoba, not as midrange beaters, but BLOCKERS. The former coming in at 5 power + the damage prevention meant it could guarantee 2-3 Lethal blocks + protection from black meant most common removal didn't work on it. Nishoba being more expensive to cast @ CMC 7, it was more of a late game staller + coming in @ 7 power & functionally having lifelink meant that it could guarantee a couple of Lethal Blocks with 28 total life gain spread out over each of its blocks. Despite the fact the Phantom Creatures suck by today's standards, Creatures back were so much weaker & less effective, so these guys were much more useful considering their surrounding meta.

Bond of Agony is gargatuan garbage. Cool, I can deal you and myself 19 damage for 20 mana. Oooor I do the same with 1/1 Haste plus Hatred on turn 2 and it is still horrendous in anything that is not oldstyle. Prosperity, meanwhile, was a mainstay contributing to Mtg's first combo deck ever, ProsBloom
