Hi everyone!
Wriothesley was released just a few days ago along with the second half of update 4.1 in Genshin Impact.
I just decided to make a video on it.
Wriothesley is the first Cryo Catalyst in the game. And he is also a boxer to boot.
He feels like an improved Wanderer (due to the fact that he is Cryo and can do Melt reactions).
In general, in the video you can see my feelings after playing it.

I currently use him with Nahida, Thoma and Bennett and the melts are super consistent and I like the team a lot! I'm not sure if I should switch Bennett out, but I'll see with time and testing

I'm running the same team and I love how consistent Wrio deals damage with them. Only downside is circle impact due to Bennett. 😐 Still debating if I should switch Bennett for Yaoyao. Heard she can be a good replacement for him

If you REALLY want Wesley you should pull for him, since Archons have their rerun faster than most characters anyways. What if Rizzly won't receive his rerun as fast? Just like Shenhe, Eula and Albedo? But Its up to you conrad.

Don't stress about getting Furina unless she allows you to use a team you couldn't use before. Genshin is more fun if you play the characters that are you like and that have fun gameplay. And as others mentioned: Furina will be back in 4.6 for sure.

You should try him with thoma-benny-Nahida! More aura for him to melt more reliably+shield. i don't have Nahida but I used Collei instead, still got all stars on floor 12 even at C0. Hope I'll be able to try him in more comps, he's super fun to play for me

​@@smoohymn2868hmm... you could drop Nahida and use Shenhe instead, then you would be able to make use of both cryo and pyro resonance, though in such a team Xiangling could be better than Thoma, you could try and see. If you still want burn melt instead of just melt but while still using Shenhe, I think you could get Yaoyao to replace Benny, then Thoma/Xiangling for the other slot. Though clearly the dendro application won't be nearly as good it would work and you would still have a healer here, would probably work better with bosses and single target. You could also do without a healer if you don't have skill issue (like me 😢)

​@@nahbruhfr I can only speak from my experience here, but I think it all boils down to timing. In one rotation, you would want Wrio to always melt the fifth of his NA sequence which has the highest multiplier. Picture Benny Xiangling combo, when you switch to Wrio the enemy already has pyro applied, so first hit melts, second doesn't, third doesn't, fourth-A does (because by this point almost 3 seconds have gone by and ICD has reset) then fourth-B doesn't, and finally the fifth which is the longest animation would then fall right when I ICD resets again, and in your next sequence it's very likely you'll be melting third and fifth hits only. This works even better if you master the timing and add in dash, charged attack at the end of your rotation, etc, but for simplicity let's just think of the NA sequence. As long as you're lucky and (important) don't get hit or knocked out, you'll be fine in your xiangling Benny combo, even better if someone grouped the enemies beforehand like Kazuha or Sucrose since their burst will apply pyro too. The problem comes around in my opinion, with the timing again. During my runs of testing, it was pretty hard for me to not immediately jump to CA because I found Xiangling's burst and Benny's burst basically gone by the second half of the second run of his NA string, sometimes pyronado just didn't come around fast enough for all the enemies around us when Kazu's burst was not ready yet, I got knocked around by the enemies, and similar issues that I understand could just all boil down to my own skill issue (it probably does). Thing is, I still use this team at times, but to melt the hits I wanted to melt required quite a lot of coordination and luck. Burn melt makes it a lot easier. You just need to master the quick swapping to reapply dendro, stack up Thomas's shield which is quite simple, drop down Benny's Burst if you have it ready, then just hit them without the worry that you won't be able to melt the one hit with the highest multiplier because the enemy will most likely always have Pyro on them for the duration of your rotation. And the bonus point is, I don't have to worry about getting hit because my Thomas's shield is pretty damn tanky and it stacks up easily. Things get even better if you have Nahida, you can make do with Collei (like I did) or Yaoyao, but she's truly the goat of any dendro related team. My rotation (C0 wrio) allows him to go down in hp to get the buff, consistently melt the hits with the highest multiplier on his NA sequence, then also melt the charged attack. Something like NA3CN5C two times during his skill duration works pretty darn well Long story short, burn melt in my eyes allows him to melt more realiably and makes it easier to melt the hits you want to melt, bonus is you also have a shielder and a healer in the team to make things easier so that Wrio doesn't have to worry about being oneshotted or knocked around. Downside is, you don't have a grouper, also you need to practice to see how fast you would need to reapply elements with your supports. There are several variations you could use too! Like Wrio-thoma-yaoyao-kazu, which I also tested and so far seems to do the job well, you could also use wrio-thoma-nahida-kazu which I think would work quite well So sorry for the long text, I just thought I needed to explain my reasoning a bit

I saved 450 pulls for him. Got Venti’s weapon twice at 69 pity, his signature at 66. Then got him at 81, lost 50/50 to Diluc at 78, and got his C1 at 75. Averaging 73 pity. I think benny’s unluckiness has rubbed off on me.. Anyways, since I have him at C1 now, I practically use him alone in my team lmaoo he hits around 40k crit damage on his enhanced charge attack, with full self buff (marechaussee hunter, clashflow, and his second passive) and he heals himself every 2 seconds. Nice. Edit: will be trying to get his C2 after exploring the rest of sumeru desert. Wish me luck everyone! And also to other Rizzley wanters!

I use Wrio with Dehya/Benny/Thoma and it works surprisingly well. Team overall has good sustain, damage, and can generate good energy :v (However I do have C3 Dehya and C6 Thoma, so take that with a grain of salt. Wrio is C0 and Benny C6)
