I think she picked up but she doesn't really have the vernacular/vocabulary to speak towards a homosexual audience. I think her 'very tall man, very small woman' example was an analogy that wasn't specific on gender, I think it was just a very conservative way of stating it. I think people mix up Dr Ruth and Sue Johanson. I think it was still really cool for Dr Ruth to come on this sort of show, she didn't seem to hold prejudice, just a bit conservative and oldfashioned in a non-hateful/discriminatory way. Even her reasons for no open relationships made sense to her, but it's not like she was telling us we're all sinner polygamist queers.
