I find it so funny that the Harry Styles Vogue cover created such a huge discussion. He‘s the first solo male on the cover of US Vogue. In asian countries there‘s constantly male celebrities on Vogue covers, especially South Korea. They‘re also embracing their femininity, wearing womenswear (e.g. Sehun from EXO wearing Louis Vuitton womenswear on the July 2018 Vogue Korea Cover) I just had to laugh about all the melodramatic shenanigans by some people who are claiming that because Harry is wearing a dress, he‘s a threat to masculinity haha

Right? Most Eastern cultures are very strict about gender roles but our art is very gender fluid, it always has been. Homophobia and masculinity are very much a patriarchal construct and a lot of these strictness regarding male expectations comes from rigid western cultures.

Don't get me wrong, we are a bunch of patriarchal assholes with no value to women's lives but credit where its due, Eastern cultures were a lot more gender fluid than Western cultures. It was only when West decided to 'civilize' what they considered 'savages' that a lot of stricter ideas about gender, masculinity, feminity and 'men and women' procreation is 'normal' shenanigans came in our culture. We were doing fine with our extremely vast cultural heritage before colonialization..

In the UK at the moment you only need to wear masks in enclosed public places ie. pubs and retail spaces, outside is fine as long u keep your distance. This is why it seems no one is wearing a mask. :) We're in the second lockdown till Dec 02 (we hope) so there isn't anything for you to do in London apart from walk the streets, anywhere that involves socialising is closed. You can meet one other person outside distanced, that's it! lol I never have any issues with getting ice here. haha

We don’t have ice because it’s cold for about 9 months of the year! lol! I think in New York you have to wear masks outside? We only have to wear them inside shops. We call black tea ‘tea’. Go into a shop and look in the tea aisle for the brands PG Tips, Typhoo, Tetley, Yorkshire Tea this is all black tea and they will probably have other brands of black tea together. I found trying to get black tea and enough milk for tea and coffee so difficult on holiday in the states at first, I seemed so stupid trying to order it 😂

Tea is tea back home in the UK. So here's a few brand you can get everywhere. Tetleys, PGtip and Yorkshire. So I hope this helps.

Monet the regular tea in England is black tea. It won't say black tea on the label. Just tea. You can get Lipton in most supermarkets. Or you can try Tetley, PG tips, Twinings, Yorkshire or even the store brand, which is cheaper. Just go to the tea and coffee isle.

Black tea is just more specific in the UK. I think that the most popular types of black tea are English Breakfast or Earl Gray. Many shops have their house blends as well. All usually black teas. If you go to a decent tea store and ask them I'm sure they will be able to match you with stuff that you'd probably like a lot more than the generic "black tea" you get in the US. Same for East Asian countries such as Japan and China with green tea btw. There are many kinds.

So Candice owens is attacking Harry for wearing a dress and using the East as an example of society that upholds masculinity. Meanwhile the East has plenty of fashion considered masculine that would be seen as feminine is the west. She highlighted how basing masculinity on fashion is arbitrary as each culture and society at different points in time has very different views on what is masculine and feminine, she made a statement and disproved it in the same breath. It's as if poorly thought out theories based on your personal aversion to an idea rather than based on any fact should be ignored as having leaders without any critical thinking skills and who lack the ability to have a balanced thought out perspective on a situation are more harmful to society. Look at the fall of any society and it really comes down to the ego of inept leaders, the kind of leaders with the masculinity that i think Candice owens is talking about.

There is little ice in northen Europe. I moved to Amsterdam in 2008 and was surprised also. Back then markets didn’t have bags of ice. Finally after 10 years, they do. But I was thinking of starting an early an ice making company for awhile. BTW Dutch don’t wear masks either... only in public transport and some shops now require them, but the government is in the courts trying to make them mandatory.
