I think that if they lost contact it wasn't Cheryl fault, same happens to many people, haven't you ever have a good friend in primary or high school and then stop seen each other for a long time and then when you meet again are like strangers?? that happened to me billion times, it's sad but that's a life rule. Cheryl did her job really good, she was the best mentor anyone could ever had and you see they got on well, she always cared about her acts.

After this series of the X Factor the show started to become stale and repetitive and I stopped watching. In my opinion this is when the X Factor ended for me and it ended on a good note with Alexandra Burke winning the competition.

It became stale after 2010. 2008-2010 was the prime of The X Factor.

@@ciaranmarsh255 well, when it comes to becoming stale it all depends when you started watching X Factor, and when you decided to stop watching because you saw it's just the same thing all over again. Now if we are talking ratings, that's a different story. 2010 which was series 7, that was when the ratings were at their peak, before they begun their short steady decline. Now I have given series 6, 7 and 8 a try, and I appreciate what they tried to do different. Sadly, this wasn't enough to keep the show fresh and get more people watching.
