The X Files Reboot: What Can We Expect

Greetings everyone, with an upcoming X-Files Reboot coming to Disney/Hulu we wanted to put out some updates on the status of the new series. We hope you enjoy our video, and have a Great Galactic Day.

I love diversity initiatives in film and TV. I personally would love to see Black Panther played by Brad Pitt, perhaps we could have a Boys N The Hood remake with Eminem and Mark Markie Mark playing the lead roles. I think everyone is so closed minded with this diversity stuff, it's a good thing.

I completely agree 👍. I honestly believe it should be illegal to screen actors based on their gender and race. Imagine if you went to a job interview and the employer said they were only hiring black females, that would discrimination so why can Hollywood get away with such bull s***? This show doesn't require a diverse cast to succeed anyways which just means the odds of the best actors being turned down for the parts just because of their skin color produces a worse show. And when they say diverse, are they just talking about race because X-Fikes has always had a male and female lead? I really hope they don't mean lgbt since majority of the X-Files series we had no idea of Mulder or Scully were straight, gay or whatever since they never dated! I swear if we see a transgender agent as a lead I'm gonna be pissed since the main focus of the show has always been about the supernatural and not about the FBI agents lifestyles. The sad truth is the only way to have successful lgbt representation is to make the show centered around the lifestyle of those characters or else there would be no way of knowing the sexual and gender preference of those characters. Just the fact that Disney is going to be producing this scares me. Their track record for ruining franchise is almost 100% 😔

I'm with you on that one. Even without Disney being involved, I doubt the new show would rise to the level of the original, unless maybe original show runner Chris Carter was running the entire thing. But he is not a factor in this version. So, I'm glad I know about it coming out, but I can't get there on being excited about it. I remember a time when diversity was just a thing in media. And now, it's forced. And it's usually paired with sub-par to horrible writing. I think the big media would be better off if they just shut their mouths about diversity and just... ya know... did it and made good stories.

I'm not sure about this new X-Files idea, but I'll at least give it a shot. But I doubt it will rise to the level of the original. Thank you for your comment. I am a huge X-Files fan myself. I remember when the original premiered and I was hooked. I think a reboot could be good, but I think if it is to be done, they producers should focus on finding the best talent for the roles, and not pigeon hole themselves by only trying to make the cast diverse. I made the video because this show is in the works, but I would rather watch the old shows versus tuning in to this one. The good thing about rebooting with new characters is they can bring back original cast members for cameos and special guest star roles

@J_321Ignition There was a chance in Season 10 to carry the original show forward with the introduction of the younger Mulder and Scully look a likes. I included a picture of those two in the video. I would have preferred they kept the original show going with those characters in place of doing a reboot. I mean if Law and Order can be on the air for thousands of years while constantly changing characters, its not that unreasonable to assume the X-Files could do the same thing.
