Ever since i got this system from the last review I haven't stopped playing. I've got this system because of RGG. I have the 512GB. I noticed the music thing on ps1 with this 128GB which makes sense.. I don't have that problem on the 512GB. It's good that they offer a cheaper option because there's probably people that don't care about it as much as others. You can really tell the person who made this cares and wants things to improve. Like those new charging controllers. It would have been perfect if mine was like that. My only gripe is that sometimes it will turn on when I turn on my TV but I think that's just a setting. If you got any doubts though, throw them in the trash because this thing is awesome haha

Theirs no music on the ps1 games I think a text on the screen during gameplay would be helpful for that.

I have 2 of the X Pro 2s and one of the handheld consoles. The systems are absolutely amazing, and come packed with games and systems. The performance has been really good with all of them. The customer service is on another level of awesomeness. They are extremely quick to get back to you with any answers to your questions. They seem like they are consistently looking to improve everything and they really care about their customers and want you to have the best experience.

I love the new controllers. Definitely an upgrade in that aspect. I like the fact that the controller set up has changed compared to the older version, especially being a rechargeable vs using triple a batteries, or being able to plug it in directly. And I love that they have listened to the feed back and constructive criticism to make the product better.

I bought this system and was relatively inpressed with what you get. Only issue i had to discover on my own is you have to email the company to send you an unlock code for shader settings. Other than that its a decent buy at this prive point

It's mainly to prevent accidental changes or those that make changes out of the box without any guidance. Kids are a great example!

God I wish they would finally do something decent for freaking jamma arcade cabs, especially vertical. We've been stuck with 60-in-1's & the 412 blue elf's for like a decade. The tech is ancient. The first person to step up on that will have a huge captive audience, that's for sure.

Amazing system one of the best retro video investments I highly recommend. The games run amazing and very easy to use. Some draw backs ir not every game is able to have save states pending on the emulator. Overall a 8 out of 10.

totally worth it imho but it's not the king of dreamcast performance. It's got its pros and cons. I think there's more pros than cons though. Mine replaced my old pi unit and Im very happy with it

Could you explain the boot-up process for these type of consoles? I'm very curious of getting one of these for my students and want to ensure that it's easy to boot up without hardly any hassle. Is it just press a button and thne the main menu screen or is it like other pc emulator modles that start on a pc desktop screen??

$184?? Not for nothing but i know you said it would "take a long time" to do this yourself but define a long time exactly?? Cause getting a 128gb sd card would probably cost you $20 these days and downloading romsets (that you actually like cause i doubt people will be hunting down 2000 games for the amstrad cpc.) It shouldn't take no more than an hour, maybe 2 for the cd based games... The 2nd option is to simply buy prebuilt sd cards that they sell full of roms and frontends ready to go and you can find those for $20 and up...as for the box, it's just a typical android box which you can find a slew of online with similar specs or better for $20-$50.... if this box was like $60 with the games then i would say it's worth it...$184 though? No way.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. If you go for the 512 high end, it's like $384. I'd rather spend a little bit more on a steam deck and just get the ROMs 😂

@djturtle2006 There are plenty of handheld devices that are out or coming out around this same price range that give you a lot more for your buck. Including hdmi outputs to connect to your tv. Some even come with an sd card preloaded for you to start playing right away... as it is, you can have this same setup for $60 or less if you do a little digging....at the end of the day, if you're paying more than $70 for an android box and an sd card full of old games then you're getting ripped off.

@@LuizMartins1989 I have the annernic 353v. I don't plug it into TV's cause I only use it when I'm traveling which isn't often but if I did, I wouldn't travel with a separate controller. I would just use the handheld as the controller. I don't know much about PS4 controllers but if they are Bluetooth then I would think they can connect with any handheld that has Bluetooth so just look for that. or simply buy a cheap Bluetooth controller. You can find plenty for $20 or less. That's what I would do.

@@LuizMartins1989 My recommendation would be the steam deck. I know based on some of the comments above you can get cheaper handhelds or more expensive handhelds. But for the price, a good in between medium handheld cost wise would be the steam deck and with MU deck and a PlayStation Bluetooth controller, you can play all your retro games and steam games and it just looks to a TV through hdmi through a USBC connector so any hub will accept it
