People are forgetting that he has already played professional sports at this same high level for 5 years already both for his country and his club and he will have played in front of similar sized crowds that u get in the NFL. His home ground in Wales can hold 80 000 spectators. He is also used to training camps and pre seasons both at an international and a club level.

@Z_Rodriguez13 as a follower of rugby for 40+ years but very new to NFL I am rooting for him. However, if truth be told, I just wish some other players from rugby who I feel are much better suited to your game than him could have been the ones moving to NFL. He is good but he wouldn't make a new Zealand, South Africa or France international rugby team. Players from those countries in his playing position of right wing are better than him and when it comes to running back there would be quite a few more better than him for that position especially guys wearing the number 12 and 13 jerseys which in rugby are the centre positions used for crash ball plays, running into and over people at speed and gaining yards ready for the next phase of play. But hoping he can adapt. He can't jump, had very poor vertical and broad jump at his pro day combine and he has short arms and isn't shifty enough to play wide receiver and I think he was hoping or expecting to be selected as a WR but doesn't have the skillset. Route running without losing speed is not his strength and he needs a heck of a lot of work in that regard. His 40 time now will be slower than when he played rugby as he has already put on nearly 20 pounds in weight. He is 209 now and was only 194 playing rugby. I think running back he may need to get to 220 plus I should imagine. Running backs from what I have seen have a low centre of gravity running style not tall and upright like Zammit. But hey I might be way off in my assessment. This is how I see it coming from a rugby point of view anyway.

I think a lot of people underestimate Louis (LRZ) he smashed all his targets individually playing rugby and yet from a very young age had nfl in his mind because of his dad. He watched nfl games most Sundays staying up late all whilst playing high level professional rugby at an international level infront of 80,000 fans, calm as a cucumber, yes the nfl playbook is crazy but his dad would have been putting this into his head at a young age even though his chosen sport was rugby until he had the ipp opportunity, he’s gonna smash it, guaranteed, can take massive hits and can give them and scored tries in rugby like you wouldn’t believe, just look at his rugby highlights with Gloucester and wales

Hes gotta be a multi year project. People shouldnt be expecting to see him on the field this yr, i dont think people understand how hard it is to learn a completely new sport, most people in the nfl have been playing it since being a kid.

Not all rugby players are suited to running back. The game, just like NFL is composed of players of different heights, weights, speeds and skillsets. Generally players wearing jerseys numbered 1 to 8 are bigger and slower than those numbere 9 to 15. 1 to 8 are the forwards and 9 to 15 are the backs. Zammit wore the number 14 Jersey which is normally, along with number 11 Jersey the fastest player. The guys in rugby most suited to running back would be guys in the number 12 and 13 Jersey. In rugby these positions are called centre.i could name you at least 10 guys in rugby who would be much better running backs than LZR but he is the only one who has decided to try football.
