This is the kind of happening that makes you glad to be alive, not to mention glad to be living and commuting in the city. I only rode the rails for three years in the mid-90's from the Village to Bed-Sty via the L to the G and off at Classon Ave. to teach second graders that the alphabet mattered and that the written word is powerful. I'm blessed for having been a part of the cycle of the city...the cycle of the city. An appreciation for life that has never left me, and a love for the students who ruined me for any other population. I've just retired after working in Peekskill, NY for 23 years...a collective 30. The song is MY "intro" into another chapter of life.

I think its the notes, the chords chosen and chord progression that resulted in such a powerful melody, it does not have lyrics, there is not a voice singing but it doesn't need one, this song its deep and joyous, spiritual and emotional, it moves you and makes you feel things. It speaks to your heart. Doesn't matter if it's played with a beat up guitar on a subway car. All other noise vanishes. It's the power of MUSIC!

Music makes us human, makes us drop our barriers, makes us forget our predigests, reminds us that all of a sudden there IS somthing that connects us ALL together on this earth, Not matter where you are on earth, what your going through, even if the end seems determined to come for you, DONT give in on yourself. NEVER EVER stop fighting for your inner person or emotional mind. HEAL yourself through small tiny but persistant actions, keep driving, keep pushing, through pain, suffering, loss, even if you have no hope, no car, no life, no self worth......keep on.....even if it hurts, no one is comming to save you....because you are worth saving yourself, YOU are worth your own time, your own love.
