Hi Kevin that brings back memories I had one many years back it had a memory unit and atu as accessories plus the psu if I remember correctly the mic had up down buttons . It was a wideband amp ie SWR could be quite high without power cut back.

I have one like this ready to go to dumpster. What you need to know about old electronics that components start loosing connection to circuit board traces. From outside solder looks just fine. The problem is components leads tinning is oxidized under solder and no or intermittent connection will make you mad. Re soldering everything isn't an option.

I love this old radios because it is simple to operate for all you need regarding the controls are all basically in the front panel which leads to a question. Sir, if you have a 35 year old hf radio in good working condition and has never been repaired or touched inside, do you think if you replace all the electrolytic capacitors, will it last another 30 years? I mean, take a look at this one, it is a very old radio and it is still in good condition, have this one been repaired or recapped at least? Thank you so much.

This radio has had some work done to it recently although I am not sure of the details as it was purchased from the estate of a silent key (deceased person)

No it has AM mode so it can receive AM on the amateur bands

As far as I know to use this Radio on 11 metres you will need to change a 10 metre crystal
