Description: The Yangtze River is Asia’s longest waterway, and arguably the most important river in the world. It stretches across the vast expanse of China, bringing life, wealth and energy to much of the country. It is an unrivalled icon, but its future is far from secure. It faces many issues from overfishing and flooding to pollution and the impact of climate change. The South China Morning Post examines the impact and legacy of one of China's most important resources.

FORMULATED MICROCRYSTALLINE WAX WILL CAPTURE THAT BLACK CARBON SPEWING FROM THE WORLDS INDUSTRIAL SMOKESTACKS The solution for capturing carbon was discovered in my lab and candle shop over 40 years ago. I knew back then that this was going to come to this day. I had to search for the answer and did. The heat loss from a smokestack can be forced or harnessed into a large tank containing hot liquid microcrystalline petroleum wax. The heat will keep the wax in a molten state which facilitate the carbon to be absorbed when combined with the wax. Carbon when mixed with wax reacts like a dye. The wax-carbon amalgamation will result in a black wax solution thereby making it impossible for the carbon to escape into the environment while in a liquid state. Other toxic particles are also captured in the wax settling at the bottom of the tank as a sludge. A sludge release valve is located at the bottom of the tank. After the sludge is removed more wax is replaced in the tank working something like a toilet. The sludge becomes a byproduct that can be used as an additive to asphalt for roads or used for cocooning nuclear waste materials for long-term safe burial. The entropy of the Earth has been increasing at a startling rate since the beginning of the industrial revolution caused mainly by the carbon that is released into the atmosphere. Government scientists have failed to stop and prevent carbon pollution from entering the environment. This problem can only worsen until a solution is found before this problem becomes irreversible. It has been discovered that formulated wax has been shown to be the only answer to this problem. PREVENTING SPREADING RADIATION: This formulated wax will also help prevent the spread of radiation such as preventing the escape of Plutonium dust particles from nuclear reactors or from structures or buildings housing radioactive materials. In 1994 This method was successfully demonstrated on the Sarcophagus of Chernobyl's blown-out reactor # 4 that was leaking Plutonium dust particles through open seems. In 1995 formulated wax tape was used to cocoon radioactive metal that had spat out of the reactor at the time of the explosion for safe long-term burial. In 1993 a wax membrane method was used in the yard of an abandoned house about five miles from Chernobyl to demonstrate how to reclaim radioactive contaminated territories for re-cultivation. I have been researching wax for solving mankind created environmental problems since 1969. As I aged, I discovered many other uses for wax such as making candles or replicas of people's hands. This led to coating the hand castings with latex rubber. After the latex had cured, I inserted latex rubber tubing a quarter of an inch tubing in the tips of each finger that was sealed with the latex. After the latex had cured, I was able to pull the end of the tubing that caused the fingers to contract. By pulling the ends of all five tubs the hand would close or grip and was able to pick up things such as a pencil or jelly beans just like a normal hand would do. The end result would act like a normal hand. I was able to color the hand to match the color tone of the hand that I replicated. The end result was a prosthesis hand. Through the years I have discovered many other uses of formulated wax for solving environmental problems: Here is a list of confirmed uses since 1969. OTHER USES FOR SOLVING POLLUTION PROBLEMS USING WAX: • Remove oil spills from dry or wet sand, soil, water, ice This method was demonstrated for the Canadian government in 1974 to remove oil from a beach on Passage Island. This method was demonstrated to the US Coast Guard on two occasions, one in Hawaii and the other in the state of Texas demonstrated to the Canadian Coast Guard on two occasions. Oil can be removed from beach sand as though it was a giant carpet More demos were shown to the Canadian press on three occasions. • Preventing radiation leaking from reactors, buildings, and storage facilities. This method was used to prevent Plutonium dust particles from escaping into the environment from open cracks and seams on the Sarcophagus of Chernobyl's blown out reactor # 4 in 1994 • Cocooning asbestos coated pipes wiring for safe removable This was demonstrated in the basement of an apt building that has 319 feet of loose asbestos • Cocooning radioactive waste for a long term safe burial. This method was demonstrated in Chernobyl by removing a 4” x 5 ‘ rusting metal tubing that was buried and coating half the tubing with a special microcrystalline wax and then re buried. • Removing radioactive contaminated hot spots from soil surfaces approx. 4 feet square in Chernobyl in 1995 • Preventing uranium mine tailing particles from becoming airborne in 1987 by laying a wax membrane on the mine tailing surface in Elliot Lake Ontario. • Preventing radon gas from entering into homes or buildings demonstrated on three homes having very high Radon levels where 95% of the Radon was blocked. • Preventing crushed coal dust particles from escaping moving open rail car trains was demonstrated in 1975 by spraying hot microcrystalline wax on the exposed coal surface to prevent the coal particles from becoming airborne while the train was in motion. • Preventing fly or bottom ash pile dust particles from becoming airborne Removing bunker oil, diesel fuel, gasoline transformer oil demonstrated for Ontario Hydro in Kinston Ontario in 1991 William Nelson, waxogen@gmail.com Please share, thx

@@RD-ht6go Well... with trends in global supply chains seeking to diversify especially out of China to Southeast Asia, it's probable that it becomes less economically important by 2030~2040. Besides, considering how the Chinese government strongly promotes no-international-interference policies on international stages (e.i. Myanmar coup), by China's own rules the international players have no rights or responsibilities regarding the revitalization efforts of the Yangtze River. So, as CCP puts it, it's 100% China's fault that the Yangtze is dying, and it's 100% China's responsibility to fund all 100% of resources and manpower necessary to save the river. And unless China rescinds its position on non-interference policy, international players cannot donate even a single yuan to the efforts; So based on that, it's quite appropriate to call it "the most important river in China", not "the world".

@@googleit4606 Tibet was only actual Chinese territory during the Yuan and Qing Dynasties. Every other dynasty simply had Tibet as a vassal even the Tang and Han and Ming Dynasties didn't rule Tibet directly. So there isn't really argument of preserving historical territorial integrity when it comes to Tibet and China.
@googleit4606
@googleit4606 4 жыл бұрын
@@Otter-Destruction Well first of all, just the Qing dynasty itself has its history longer than the US. So if we don't consider the Qing as part of the history that validifies its legitimacy, I doubt if we could still view the US as a legit nation in the world today. Plus, it is true that the Qing had greater control over the territories than Ming, especially in Mongolia, but the Ming clearly inherited the ruling legitimacy with their authorization on the Tibetan leaders. It was only until the late Ming when northeast China (where the Qing originated) and Tibet started to gain greater autonomy (that's how it works in China's cyclicality). But, again, that situation returns to the normal relatively shortly when the Qing took over. So Tibet has always been China's territory in the last several centuries. Its political structure was just different from those of kings and lords in Europe.
@Otter-Destruction
@Otter-Destruction 4 жыл бұрын
@@googleit4606 Well first of all the Qing weren't Chinese, they may have ruled in China, but they didn't marry Chinese nor did they have Chinese as ruling elites. The only reason why Manchuria is in China today is because the Han took it over from the Japanese. Being king maker of a territory doesn't make it your territory, if that were the case than Korea would be Chinese territory as well, as it was the Ming that "authorized" Joseon kings to rule. Additionally Qing rule of Tibet occurred well after the establishment of the Qing Dynasty in China. And with your argument we could go back to the Yuan Dynasty and the Mongols before and say all of Siberia belonged to China because of Genghis Khans conquests. It wasn't political structure of the country that was different it was the regional politics of the region that was completely different. Europe operated under the basis of Balance of Power, Asia operated under the idea of Chinese hegemony, that why everyone who wasn't Chinese was considered a barbarian.
@googleit4606
@googleit4606 4 жыл бұрын
@@Otter-Destruction Not sure why do you say there was no marriage with Chinese or no Chinese ruling elites at that time. There were a lot of important figures served in the court. In fact, the Qing regarded themselves as Chinese, as Qianlong signed the Treaty of Nerchinsk with Russia in the name of China. I think what you might refer to was the majority Han ethnic group in China. But China has been a very diverse civilization even before Qing, and that diversity was well inherited by the ROC when their initial slogan was "five races under one union" (of course later they found more ethnics). And you were right, China did see places like Mongolia and Korea as part of China's territory before PRC, it was the communists abandoned those claims in the name of "international communist movement". In fact, you will still see a lot of Chinese officially registered as the Korean ethnic or Manchu ethnic today. Regarding how history affects their claims on territory, not sure if you are familiar with the history of the Mongols empire. But the Yuan didn't really have control over regions like Siberia. Genghis Khan did establish his massive empire, but soon after his death the empire was split and the Song still existed at that time. So the Yuan never had its reach to the other kingdoms and brought them back into one again. So the Mind didn't inherit those claims either, and of course, those were not claimed by today's China. And I agree, in ancient times everyone was trying to seek that hegemony. That was true to the Chinese, also true to the Europeans when Roman empire was established. It was only after its split and collapse that the Europeans were not able to unite Europe again (despite several attempts), so they had to accept a balance of regional powers and the constant instability in the area.

Times after times in history, it has proven that building dams are seriously damaging the natural environment. In a long run, it might lead to un-repairable destructions to the surrounding eco-system deep and wide thus natural disasters like flooding and drought could be devastating and might destroy thousands of lives and property damages. But it's always the greed of human beings caused them to downplay these concerns while evaluating the pros and cons before the constructions of the dams are deed and sealed. Yes, there could be a short term of glory to enjoy but the long term or even permanent nightmares are yet to come. The larger the gloriories the deadlier the consequences. Sad.

The first rivers the dude mentioned were those of great importance to development of the first civilisations which is why they’re so legendary. So it’s debatable.

Wasn't this the purpose of the EPA? To consider the far reaching impacts of human activity? But they though that the Environmental regulations became too cumbersome. Regulations were adding too many costs. With the costs of production increasing, decreasing profits. But then they found out that China would be willing to destroy itself to make their products for them. Now they want deregulation. Defund the EPA so that it can't function properly; causing it to fail They point out its failure and calls for the elimination of the agency. Turns out those cheap goods have a really high cost to them.

While I am glad to see that water pollution has been given attention, I think moving the industries elsewhere only moves the problem. China (as well as every other country) should focus on reducing heavy metal and other waste into rivers and seas.
@intreoo
@intreoo 4 жыл бұрын
The thing is China is a global manufacturing hub, hundreds of countries use China as a hub to produce their goods. The amount of waste left over is huge, very huge. It would be very hard to reduce metal and other waste when it is vital to the Chinese economy, as manufacturing accounts for 30% of China's economy alone. Moving the industries would be a better option in my opinion.
@jonathanalexander8858
