"The Yard of Colors" continues its musical journey, with a great "Tribute to rebetiko song and its history".
The hospitable hosts, the journalist Athena Kampakoglou and the composer Christos Nikolopoulos, dedicate the show to this era and to the kind of song that was sung and "praised" through the legendary serial "The minor of dawn". The series "of our heart", by Vangelis Goufa & Fotis Mesthenaiou, which premiered in 1983 on public television and dealt with the history of rebetiko, in 1934.
In our tribute, popular rebetika songs are uniquely interpreted and performed by the musicians-performers: George Xintaris, Katerina Tsiridou, Vangelis Korakakis, Anatoli Margiola, Thodoris & Antonis Xintaris, and Vassilis Korakakis.
In the studio of our "Yard", comes the theatrical "Minor", directed by Takis Tzamargias, one of the most successful performances of the season presented at the Ilisia Theater and based on the eponymous favorite series.
Our artistic curator, Costas Balachoutis, in the special insert, presents this after the "gray" era of the Occupation, there in 1946, where the rebetiko and the Smyrnaean song is born and "harvested".

A unique moment, the one where Christos Nikolopoulos plays bouzouki and sings with his friend and old favorite collaborator, Ieroklis Michailidis, "If we break the bouzouki", a piece by the leading lyricist Eftychia Papagiannopoulou who "took off" musically and George Zambetas. And it was first interpreted by Zambetas himself and Ria Kourti, in 1961.
