Is this actually shown in any comics? This is the second comment I've seen saying this, and to my understanding, it's simply not true. In AVP, the Ancient gave Lex a Combistick as an honorary reward for helping kill the Xenomorph Queen.
@CharlesTheCorgiKing4 жыл бұрын
@@acceptedsniper This is due to her showing that she is worthy and that the Yautja considered her one of their own since she was marked with the symbol. The Convict Predator in the newest movie "Predator" gave the humans the "Predator Killer", reason for this one though was an illegal move, it wasn't supposed to be given since the predator was a convict. In AVP I remember hearing something about the movie being directed by someone else who didn't make the original predator movies so that's probably why
@CharlesTheCorgiKing4 жыл бұрын
@@acceptedsniper pretty much what Hans Landa said. It was for multiple reasons, most of the time they self destructed to be sore losers and to destroy evidence of their existence. Would you like to play this game if it existed. You play as a predator and start as unblooded. The tutorial teaches the player the controls and rules. I thought it would be cool if as a player you could roar to lure prey toward you and kill unseen. There will be no fall damage because the fall 80ft without killing themselves and can double jump but upgrade to a triple jump. At the end of the tutorial you kill a xenomorph and take the head back to the clan leader and become blooded and get 100 currency. Once blooded the game transforms into an open world game like mass effect and travel to planets to hunt. You could play with two others like destiny and rise through the ranks. As you rise through said tanks you are given access to more advanced weapons like shoulder cannon and a combi stick. You can acquire these by taking their skulls and exchanging them for money. You could also use the skulls to upgrade your predator like giving a triple jump ability or silent footsteps. I thought it would be fun if the game had two ends like dishonoured. For example, the good end finishes with the player as a clan leader. The bad end happens if the player kills those who cannot defend themselves, basically, civilians. This causes the player to become a bad blood and sentenced to execution.

I think the Yautja in Predator 2 had some sort of birth defect, possibly even imbred. It explains why the creature needs to eat so much in comparison to other Preds, and why it needs a respiratory device to breathe easily, something other Yautja's haven't needed. Also it got yeeted by Danny Glover.

Could be a relegated duty to build. During the rise in tech, they would have had more builders, but at a certain point, they can assign AI, younglings, etc., to do their bidding. I would assume they keep their greater gear to the higher ranks because the higher ranking would tend to be the more intellectual and would have built these items, perhaps as just another toy to tinker with, like a Jedi lightsaber but without devotion to one simple tool.

I've heard that there are scientists in predator society, according to predator lore. But they only make 5% or less of the Yautja population on their home world. The number is so low, 'cause as everybody knows, they live for the hunt and not for science...

I'd love to see a reference of the Yuatja in the upcoming sequel to Alien: Covenant. Be awesome if David comes into contact with the Yuatja this allowing him to complete his vision. The Yuatja see him somewhat worthy and see that his studies and intelligence of creating the perfect creature strongly follow what their species achieved thousands of years before. They grant him his final piece of his vision, their own, more advanced species of the Xenomorth, an single Xenomorth egg containing a Queen hugger.

CaptAssassin - As a young teen I picked up some AvP short novels at my local Barnes and Nobles (This was before the original AvP movie). Most of the stories I believe centered around a human woman that was "adopted" by a clan and depicts her time with them as well as much into the Yautjas home world and lifestyle. They were some pretty decent books, if you're into the Predator lore I would highly recommend checking them out.

FilmComicsExplained not really, humans can combat their invisibility by giving every soldier a visor (similar to google glass) which tells them a predator's location by either thermal sensors of some other sensor like electromagnetic one, then they need to get guns which can kill them easily, like a plasma rifle. Also some kind of exo suit/mechanically assisted armour to be on par with their strenght and to defend from their attacks

My favorite Predator is the city hunter code named Ghost from "Predator 2". Younger, ferocious, and pure blood thirsty I liked that he was direct and preferred hand to hand combat. It may just be the terran in me but why don't the predators take over the galaxy seeing how deadly they are. Hunting just seems kind of pointless for your whole society to focus around when you could take over everyone else steal their resources then if you really wanted to hunt whatever when ever you want.
@filmcomicsexplained7 жыл бұрын
Haha! They dont desire to take over the galaxy as those ideologies are common only to humans, and we have a huge range of science fiction to attest to that. However, thats not to say they havent "learnt" and "borrowed" technologies from other civilisations to advanced theirs, because they have. Hunting seems pointless to you because you are human/terran, to the predators taking over the galaxy is pointless. Hope you see my point Paul? :)
