Sahih Muslim, Book 41, Number 7051: Anas reported that a person asked Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as to when the Last Hour would come. He had in his presence a young boy of the Ansar who was called Mahammad. I totally understand what Mufti mean but am a bit confused and sad on the part of saying if you don’t know Arabic how can you be Madi? I mean am not encouraging anyone to lie but I’ve come across people saying Arabs are better Muslims because they understand the language while those of us who don’t speak Arabic are not good enough Muslims but in reality I’ve seen the opposite African Muslims who don’t speak Arabic are much more better in heart good deeds than some of those awful Arabs who can understand everything but still commit bad deeds towards humans.
